I personally think Hisense is a better bet of the Chinese TV's
i've had the opposite experience with hisense vs TCL tv's. Just goes to show how much of a random dice roll buying these cheapo TVs can be

Not under $400, but the 144Hz Hisense 55" U7k was just on sale for $480 w/ $50 credit
