Yep, this is the way. I got the 779, bought the kit, added the shadow line and it's awesome. wish there was a kit sale when I was buying it, as a stand would be great. Right now I just put in on a portable Pegasus worktable. Strongly considering buying this kit and just selling the 779 locally, hopefully not at a loss.

Yeah it's a trade-off, the roller stand is nice for longer hauls but the one in this set packs away in a small space.

It's not auto-adding the miter saw stand for me. Did I do something wrong? If I add the stand (DWX723) manually, it raises the price $200+

It's odd, when I add the stand and saw to my cart it says $229 in savings...the exact cost of the stand, but it does not actually subtract it from the total.

Unless you have weird angled walls, you don't need a miter saw for installing laminate. But you might need one if you're installing new baseboard. Either way, this behemoth is probably way too big for those tasks.

I think this deal is dead. It won't auto add the stand and when you add it manually it will not discount it.
