You can order a few on each account, and you can order cheaper plans after the first phone (1st phone plan is 75, after that can do 35 plan). The amount of phones in each account is unclear, people say up to 4. Sometimes they will need a different shipping address, or add a apt or floor # after a few on the same account.
I don't think there are clear rules of how it works.
Also, once they ship the order, you can activate it online, and then place another order (1 phone per order).
How do you order it after you activate it online but before the phone gets here. Don't you need the physical phone to get the pin they send you to log into your account? Or you mean for orders after the first

Yes, for orders after the first, thanks for clarifying that.

Pixel 8 gives excellent space heating during those chilly summer mornings.
This is the entire reason I do not upgrade from the 6a. Google doesn't fix its problems. The 9 series will be no better.

In my 3 days with the Pixel 8 so far, I have noticed it sometimes gets a little warm during normal use and during charging, but it certainly isn't hot and at least for me I don't care at all. Performance doesn't seem to be affected.

Normal usage for me is web browsing on wifi, so YMMV.

Another factor is that when a person gets a new phone, he/she typically uses it a lot during the first few days to update software, load apps, transfer files from an old phone, customize the new phone, test or play with it. Intensive usage causes the processors to heat up and the phone feels warm/hot. After week or two, the newness wears off, usage drops, and no more heating problem.

Best Buy website now only showing $115. I'm at Best Buy right now and their system is only showing $115 trade in despite my Best Buy account and email confirmation showing $415.

Edit: Turns out he needed to proceed to the final page to see the entire $415. Now I'm dealing with the system only wanting to refund $300. We'll see.

Edit 2: "Bridge", which I think is corporate or online sales, said to process it as is. If there's an issue, call or email them. He hit submit and I left. My BestBuy.com order page updated to the correct amount of $415+taxes being refunded. I'm crossing my fingers the correct refund comes in.

A post from an in-store purchase a few days ago said that the clerk had to enter the coupon code "GOOGLE" in their system to get the $300 to show up. If you're still on-site, could you have them give it a try and let us know if it still works?

FWIW, my trade in receipt only showed $115, but I did just get a refund of 415+tax to my credit card. I made the purchase online with the confirmation email showing the extra $300. Not sure if the coupon is for in store purchase.

Yep. The way BB processes/shows the trade value makes people nervous. but in the end it will come out correctly. https://slickdeals.net/f/17637951-google-pixel-8-128gb-unlocked-134-plus-tax-after-iphone-11-trade-for-415?p=171979008#post171979008

Yes, what the receipt will show is clear for anyone who has read through the tread. But what I proposed is testing the in-store system, which is what the post below was about.

Thanks for the post. I took an iPhone 12 over to Best Buy Saturday and got $145 trade-in PLUS $300 coupon in the form of a gift card. They had trouble finding the coupon code which is GOOGLE. Make sure if you have any reward certificates or gift cards, they enter them first.

The post from carceron is confusing to me. "I took an iPhone 12 over to Best Buy Saturday and got $145 trade-in PLUS $300 coupon in the form of a gift card" sounds like $300 was given back as a GC instead of a credit card refund. But then "if you have any reward certificates or gift cards, they enter them first" sounds like a GC was brought in by carceron.

I had an online order for store pick up so I don't think that would have helped. Maybe for an in-store order?

The issues with the phone come with cellular usage. The modem is weak, so it doesn't latch on to 5G very well in low coverage area. The phone keeps on getting warm and loses battery rather rapidly. Also in general, the Tensor thermals are poor. So on a hot day in the car, the phone will overheat even when used normally to do VOIP calls, play music etc without even using GPS. If using GPS, it is even worse.

Unfortunately the first thing that the Pixels do on overheating is shut down the cellular signal. The phone is then totally crippled until you switch it off and let it cool down. Had some rough experiences on the road with the phone overheating and needing to shut it down and having to disconnect calls.

On a cool day or while being indoors with strong wifi signal, the phone will do well. It is otherwise pretty smooth with great software. All in all, a nice phone with excellent software is hampered badly by a mediocre processor with awful thermals and a very inferior modem.
