Buddy both of your points are simply false. I put together both of my hykens alone with literally 0 issue... just put together my 2nd last month .. Im 5'11 and this just isnt true. Headrest is a bit low but if u flip it upside down it fits like a glove ..... Y lie?

This thread is weird. I've used this thing for almost 3.5 years since WFH started. I put it together on my own quickly with zero problems. I still use it every day. The only problem I have found is that I tend to lean more to one side so that armrest is getting more worn than the other.

My ass isn't especially hard or sensitive and I love the seat. The mesh is absolutely the way and is way better than the fart-storing variety of cushion.

There is absolutely nothing that comes close in this price range. If you have a wide bottom or are super tall then maybe the Dexley is more suitable for you.

Mesh is the way when it comes to ergonomic productivity seating. "Gaming chairs" are scammy garbage.

Definitely possible to assemble solo. (I did)

Don't know why I'm the first to let you know that it is a neck rest not a head rest. (Also 5'9")

Best birthday present for myself at ~$90(few years back it had a working coupon) as it resolved back pain issues.

Thoughts on this vs. https://www.costco.com/true-innov...33728.html ? It's available for ~$80 in warehouse for me, and the Hyken isn't in stock for shipping or pickup around here.

As always, for every Hyken deal remember the headrest mod if you're over 60" tall/180CM tall...

Can this chair be assembled without the arms, without protrusions beyond the seat?
Yes, it can. You don't have to put the arms on it, or the neck rest either. However, if you're looking for a chair without armrests I'd suggest getting a chair that is made without armrests as that will probably be less expensive than getting this one and throwing away the armrests.

Just picked up the chair today and had no trouble assembling it. For those that may need to - you can remove the lumbar support after removing a few key bolts temporarily.

I'm 5'10, 200lbs, larger muscular build. I opted to get the larger Dexley. My fiance has the Hyken, which is noticeably smaller and less comfortable for me.
I went to pick up my Hyken today, sat in the display model at the store and it would be unusable for me (even if I reversed the headrest) it was just way too small. I am 6'2" and 215 lbs. I opted for the Dexley which is also on sale right now at $150

wanted to buy this.
Anyone able to find any working staples coupons to reduce the price below 100?
Do an Amazon return at Staples and Staples gives your a 15% off coupon for same day use when you drop the return item off.

I'm not sure why someone would give this a thumbs down. I wasn't too bothered by the headrest before, but after seeing how the mod was done, I decided to try it. I have to admit, it does make the headrest more comfortable, and the position of the headrest on the chair looks more "correct" after the mod.

Missed out on this the last 3 times because they sell out so quickly, luckily I saw this deal last night and placed an order for one for my wife, via free in-store pickup. Picked it up yesterday, thanks OP! Now my wife and I both have matching chairs.

I think the lowest it has been is $120 so it is not an amazing discount, but they say the normal price is $300, not sure if its ever actually that high though. Sitting in the Dexley now, at 6'2 the headrest is still a little low and pokes my neck out. I flipped it upside down which didn't help so now I am using no headrest and I like the chair

Not for everyone: If you have sensitive bottom, this chair will hurt you. I finally gave my chair away.
true overall but usually you have to be sitting for an extended period before it hurts like any chair

I bought this yesterday. Had no trouble with assembly. It's solid and the quality seems good overall, but it's no Herman Miller. I sat in it several hours today, and I think I may need to return it. It seems to me that the seat mesh isn't stretched tightly enough to provide good support. The issue for me is that at the leading edge of the seat, the mesh is stretched over a firm foam bar. The loose mesh dips sharply from body weight just behind the bar, causing the foam to press against the back of my thighs uncomfortably. I weigh only 140 lbs. If the seat pan itself were adjustable for tilt (instead of just the back tilt), the problem could likely be mitigated somewhat.

Great chair! Purchased one a few months ago for a bit less! Assembled in 30 minutes by myself. No problems! The chair is holding up well and one of my better purchases! Thanks OP!
