Highly recommend. I grabbed mine at the $700 and it was completely worth it. I will say my sub unit was defective...they made me buy another entire surround and swap the subs. The sub kept disconnecting every few minutes or so, even when directly next to the soundbar. New sub worked fine

It was rather obvious, the bass would cut in and out every 10-15 seconds and the lights on the back of it would flash blue or red.

Thank you as mine seems to work fine. At least, I don't notice the bass cutting off as it's a pain to keep checking the lights as it's sitting on corner of the room. I was thinking that the soundbar display will show the disconnect status and looks like that's not the case.

Btw, since I can't keep the volume above 20 (wife issues Wink), can't really figure out whether the bass is coming from the soundbar or the sub. I can hear the sounds from the rear speaker very well and only the sub, I am not really sure as the light is blue now.

Trust me you'd know if it was cutting out, it's VERY obvious and you'll hear a "pop" from the subwoofer when it happens.

Like imagine randomly going from any amount of bass to ZERO bass instantly.

Thank you for the additional info and really appreciate it. So far, I didn't get any cut offs for the past week or so and it's been working out very well.

Btw, my device shows it was manufactured in April 2024 and already had version 1004, the latest. I was prepared to flash to the latest and it already came with the latest, maybe, they fixed the subwoofer issue.

Anyone with earlier versions, please flash to 1004 as they seemed to have lots of issues according to reddit.

Finally went for the deal as my Vizio sound bar was acting up. I was only getting a muffled sound from front speakers. Tried everything. Still sound was sub par. So bought this one. There is sea of difference in sound quality. Happy with the purchase.

Got my first soundbar and it looked like it had fallen off the truck and had a gash in the subwoofer (yes the box damage went through all of the padding). They were able to issue a refund and got a replacement. The replacement arrived very quickly but was plagued with the subwoofer disconnecting every 20 seconds. Eventually got them to issue a refund and I don't plan to re-order. I've had too many issues with Samsung soundbars so I'll have to find something else.

At $625, there is no other soundbar that's in the same league as 990C, IMHO. You can even pony up $1,000 for this soundbar as it has an unbelievable soundstage.

Fwiw, my friend and I got this and no issues with the sub. Wonder why some are having issues and by any chance, did you see when it was manufactured? Mine is April 2024 and not sure whether a batch of subs were faulty from a different date?

There are just reports going back at least to the 990A about the sub disconnecting. Who knows why. Who knows how prevalent. I have the 990B and the 990C and neither have the issue.

Did the $800 deal last year and VERY happy with this system.

Just FYI, the rear speakers can be a little flaky, and if you need to re-pair things, it can occasionally be a pain. For most people and most situations, that would never be an issue, but it was for me.
