You want a TV, not a computer monitor.

Decent price, got mine 6 months ago for $420.

Mostly happy with it, but Look up the scanlines issue before buying, to see if you can ignore it. Matte coating is also very aggressive.

I have this. The negative reviews are spot on. Will never purchase another Samsung monitor. I've had older Dell monitors show better image quality. Look elsewhere for a computer monitor.

This checks a lot of boxes for me, but my biggest concern is the big curve. I have a very fast rig, but when it comes down to it my use will probably break down to 50-40-10% for browsing/gaming/light office. Any issues with non-gaming? I know a lot is a matter of preference, and I have looked at it in person where the curve seems aggressive.
I bought it to use as my primary productivity monitor for remote work. It replaced my work provided 32" Dell Ultrasharp.
The increased resolution was great, and I got used to the curve fast. I replaced it with a g9 57" and moved it to my gaming PC.
The scanlines are no joke (the Firefox logo is a great test), but I fiddled with settings until I got them to go away @ 120hz. That's a fast enough refresh for me, and if I push it faster I'm too busy being sad about being so much slower than i used to be to notice any scan lines mid-match in a game.

My own experience with this monitor in case anyone is on the fence - I owned it for less than 2 months. A flickering black box about 1/6th of the screen showed up in the bottom right corner and wouldn't go away. As others have noted, the scan lines can be quite obvious as well (for me they were most evident using a web browser in dark mode). These apparently have QC issues and I didn't want to roll the dice again on another one, so I returned it.

I have a dual monitor setup with this monitor as my main and a 32" G7 as my secondary. Wasn't sure about having a curve monitor let alone two of them. After getting a 34" Samsung Viewfinity non curved monitor here at work. I like prefer the curve.. I tend to lean to see the edges of the screen on the non curved. This is just my opinion and I have old eyes.

I have an almost fast computer 7800X3D/7900XT/32Gb/670e Mobo

Just got mine. No noticeable scan lines. Didn't notice any with default settings. After research, followed recommended settings as a pre-caution. Set at sRGB mode, VRR off. Left it at 240Hz for gaming and desktop though instead of switching to 120 Hz for desktop. Time will tell but great monitor so far!

Nope, no issues so far. Still don't see scanlines. May have gotten the neo g7 which is on sale for $400 now. Seems similar if you're okay with 165Hz instead.

The G9 is the real steal:

$719 for 49" DQHD
$900 for 49" OLED

Both come with a free 24" Odyssey G3 (G30D)
