I care and I don't get paid by SD. I work very hard to find good deals for the people in this wonderful community. Take your toxicity elsewhere. This is not the place for it.

Thumbs down.
I have $50 off $150.
I don't have to spend anything. I got a $0 off $0 in my CSP.

Adding my data point. I just received an email from Chase that $200 was redeemed (still does not show on my credit card online, but this will take 7-14 business days)

Ordered on 12/2
Split shipment charge of less than $400 each (x 2)
Sent Chase secure messages and was denied even after elevation
Called Chase twice during the same period and was informed that case was elevated
Email saying $200 was redeemed came today 1/17

Got my credit yesterday... about 10 secure messages and 2 phone calls later... and playing the 'loyal Chase Private Client... do you know how much of my business you have?' card.

Not sure any of it helped, but at least the credit finally posted.

I guess between this one and the Allbirds offer, I'm pretty happy overall.

I called in and they said to they are aware of these situations happening with backcountry and to send a secure message instead. They rejected it when I communicated via Secure messages. The guy basically copy pasted Backcountry's mission statement or something (completely unnecessary) and after that copy pasted the offer details only to say that I was rejected cause I did not meet the conditions even though I posted an attachment clearly showing my purchase date. I replied back saying that I did meet the terms and conditions since it stated that the purchase of $400 or more was to be made by December 31 and I had no control or power on when the merchant would post the transaction.

Got a reply back that said my message was being forwarded to appropriate department and I should receive a response within 5 days. This was on Jan 4th so I am hoping to hear back from them either today or Monday.
Hey there, have you heard anything further? I'm still waiting the 7-14 days for the case to be resolved, but I will need to use whatever I bought in like 2 days.

Yes, got rejected again and the person said "we determined that the terms and conditions of the Chase Offers were not met. We are unable to issue a statement credit to your account because the terms of the offer say the purchase must post by 12/31/2024. This transaction did not post until after the offer had expired." and I replied back saying "Can you show me where in the terms does it say that transaction must post by 12/31/24? Every chase offer says "PURCHASE BY DATE" and not "TRANSACTION POSTED BY DATE"

After like 1 or 2 days (dont remember exactly) I just got frustrated and opened up a dispute and they credited my account with the $200 and on the same day after this happened I got a message in the secure messages portal that said "We understand that you're concern about the cash back that you should be receiving for Chase Offers. We're glad to review your account., upon checking, we have issued $200 adjustment on your account for your Back Country purchased. You will see the adjustment post to your account on January 14, 2025. We hope you find our response helpful and informative. We appreciate your patience and understanding on this matter."

Thanks for the update! I'm still waiting for my case to be reviewed. I know the transaction was pending the same night I made the purchase, but the final posting date was 01/02/25 so I'm expecting a little back and forth. Was your case done via the online portal or did you phone in to a representative? And how did you open a dispute? Did you just do it through the app under the BackCountry statement transaction?

It was via the online portal. I opened the dispute via the website and under the backcountry statement. I would say keep being aggressive and keep pointing out that the terms say purchase date and not posted date. Also if you text backcountry's support, they can provide you the purchase order that clearly shows the purchase date, amount, your name, address along with the last 4 digit of your credit card. Hope you get your cash back. Best of luck!

I am experiencing same issue. Since transaction posted date is Jan3, Chase refused to honor it. I talked to multiple agents and they opened case but no use. Backcountry agreed to return my items but I need to pay shipping charges. Neither Chase nor Backcountry wants to admit their fault. I want to open a dispute online but Backcountry split my transactions into three, so I am not sure against which transaction I should file a dispute. This is so frustrating.

Your case is very different from mine. For those multiple transactions dispute each one of them and make the total out to be $200. It is worth giving a shot I guess. Best of luck man.

I was denied twice by customer service over the phone. I just sent an account inquiry via secure messages with my invoice (showing 12/31) and a copy of the offer (Google it) and I was emailed with an offer redeemed notice within 2 hours saying I was receiving $200 back. Try the secure messages portal if over the phone doesn't work.
