A year ago (November 2023) I got the 990 pro 2tb from Samsung direct for $107.99. Why is this older model so much money? And July of 23 got the 980 pro 2tb for 89.99. This is crazy!

Yes, there was good old time when ssd were dirty cheap in 2022/2023, then prices were jacked up since this year. Now price is actually down a bit

The manufacturers purposely slowed the production of Nand memory to raise the prices of ssds at the beginning of this year.
It worked, but they are slowly going back down again.
