If you were looking at another potential purchase like a fridge or MacBook Pro or something this would be a fantastic deal.

Ordered with citi card to get extended warranty. It's better than 5% back on best buy card imo. warranty extends by 2 years. Also worked with the 49$ bestbuy membership.

Good question! Does anyone know the answer to this question?
I bought a TV online and it showed the card in the cart. The moment i picked it up i put the order in i received the gift card. I just had to hit the Claim gift card button inside my app.

Spending $3500 for Hisense is a huge gamble and the size of it makes it PIA to return to store.

I know you can make payments to your Bestbuy credit account in-store. I wonder if gift cards be used to fund those payments.

The problem is how to get rid of the $2000 giftcard
Nvidia's 5000 series cards are supposed to be coming out soon. Could be a good way to spend them if you were in the market for a new GPU.

I found this on the bestbuy website:

Can I use my Best Buy Gift Card to make a payment on a Best Buy Credit Card?
No. Best Buy Gift Cards can be used only to purchase merchandise and services online and in stores, as specified in the terms and conditions.

They will pick it up if you need to return it.

And yes there's a bit of a gamble on these at this size and TCL or Hisense.

I will say if it was under $2k net and a Sammy I probably wouldn't want the warranty quite as much.

It's going to cost me $2750 tax included in the end if I get the 5 year BB warranty and liquidate the rest of the GC.

I feel much better about this setup than the $2999 QM8 deal from Amazon (BB was sold out here) that was just delivered/lugged around by 1 guy! IF nothing else its $700+ more than this deal somewhat apples to apples adding an amazon warranty and handy install thru costco. And the BB apples was +$900+ more than this deal for me.

Would be interesting if that QNX1D actually delivered on March 1 with another day of BB return period. That would give me an out or plan b. But if this hisense isn't a dud I don't think I would take it off the wall. . .and I've wanted that Sammy deal to come thru as that would be yet another generation of Sony or Sammy for under $1k. . .

Yes, I snagged QNX1D under $900 and it's a terrific deal but not sure whether Sammy will deliver on it as I'm supposed to get it on Feb 22.

OTOH, if anyone is in the market for a 100in TV, it's a worth a gamble as it will cost about $2,000 - $2,100 depending on how much you can muster for getting rid of $2,000 in gift cards.

FWIW, you have to appreciate Best Buy mgmt to come up with this innovative deal where they make you purchase an additional $2,000 worth of items from them. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Is this not the same TV from Amazon for $500 less (minus $500 gift card)?

So tempted, but my wife would kill me. I think 100" would be too much. 85" might be better for our space.
I have no idea what I would do with $2k in gift cards.

8-13 feet are generally fine viewing distances for 100"

Those are general measurements, but everyone's tolerance is different.
