Drives me insane they stopped supporting HomeKit. Really frustrating
I have two of these in my backyard for about the past year. One is on a fence post that gets direct sun during the entire year. I have not had to manually recharge it, and it's still at 96% battery triggering probably on average 3 motion activated 30s clips per day. Pretty much every time that it drops to around 90%, it will charge back up to 96-98% within the next day or two.

The second one I have on another fence post, but during 3/4 of the year, between the angle of the sun and a nearby tree's branches growing out, it gets light but tends to not get direct sunlight. During these months, it triggers a 30 second motion activated clip maybe once per day, and loses about 1% battery per day, so I have to manually charge it about once every 2 months.

by contrast, I also put up a Blink outdoor camera with the extended battery pack right next to the Eufy one I have in direct sunlight. Despite the extended battery pack that was supposed to last an advertised 4 years, I just had to replace one of the 4 batteries last week. I tested all the batteries in it, 3 of the batteries were nearly full while 1 was completely dead, causing the blink camera to not work anymore until replacing that 1 battery. so there's definitely a problem with the Blink camera in regards to it's battery pack, although it did last about 9 months anyway off just that one battery, triggering just slightly less often than the Eufy camera.
I have a few of these and outside for the backyard and driveway and they're great video quality with hit or miss audio in windy weather. Only downside otherwise is that you're not able to watch multiple cameras simultaneously e.g. Arlo I can have 4+ cameras playing at the same time on the wall mounted tablet. But with no monthly fee and quality product, you can't go wrong with this setup for a multi-camera option.

So I have 4 of the S330 models but I cannot figure out how to get the full motion recorded. It always, every single time, cuts off the first 10 seconds. Like it is very delayed with the start-record trigger. Then, it stops very early before the motion is out of camera range. It's not a time limit thing as the length can vary from 8-40 seconds. I just don't know how to capture ALL of the video. This happens every day with deer and animals in my yard at night. Happens with deliveries too.
Anyone know how to capture more of the beginning and end of the recordings? Thank you!

I love this thing. Not because it's the most sophisticated camera but because it's the easiest and best value. No subscriptions, no wiring. Literally just screwed it to a tree in my back yard and I get notifications and videos every time somebody is back there. The quality is great also. Thinking of buying another one to put on the lamp post on the sidewalk and monitor the whole neighborhood.

I have an 11 camera eufy system, I love having no fees. Recommend investing in a Homebase 3 and a good size 2.5" drive to go with it. I also have a bunch of microsd cards in them. Most are solar, but a couple I have to charge every couple months, depending on how often it activates. Beats my old Ring system and fees that went with them, easily.

I have one of these, but not with the solar on top (cord runs to a solar panel couple inches away), it is fantastic. I just ordered 2 of these to replace some old Homebase 2 1080 cams that get direct sun.

My S230 (renewed) died after two years. I'm hesitant to buy another with similar hardware. My other Eufy cameras are still great though. Even my battery powered E series from five years ago still work.
The S230 had a known design flaw that let in water. I don't think the S220 has this design flaw so I'm hoping it'll last a bit longer. My one S230 is half functional with flaky WiFi and a partially functioning light after 2 years so I'll just let that limp along until it dies.

In Florida, I've never had to charge either of two cameras. Always >90%

This!
I've had mine for over a year and never had to charge it; while triggering several times a day. I'm in SC

Does anyone has issue with viewing camera recording just after motion event happened? I receive push notification, clicked on it and it tries to open for around 10 seconds and then fails ( time out) and only when click retry it shows me recording in about 3 seconds. So in general it takes like 20 seconds to see what is going on there. It was working great first year, but this issue is for around 2 years already.

How's the battery life with real world use? Assuming decent sun exposure

Had a set for 2 years now. In Ohio I need to charge them about once a year, I made sure to put them into areas that get full sun.

In the Summer they stay at 100%,

In the Fall they start to drop a percent or 2 a day.

About once or twice in the winter I need to take them down, manually charge them up to 100% mount them back up.

Around March they start filling up again and don't need to be touched until Fall.

Dang I paid $69.99 in February. I kinda hate this camera. It either triggered at every shadow or didn't trigger at all. I'd have animals walk right past it and nothing but my Tapo camera positioned on the other side of the building captures everything.

Phone home to China part is a bit questionable.

When I punch my name into fastpeoplesearch and it shows my addresses from the last 30 years. Phoning home isn't a huge concern.

I love this camera WITHOUT Homebase 3. Unfortunately, I upgraded to HB3 from 2, and my camera has missed a couple of events. Whereas before, it never missed an event. I also loved the simplicity of "All motion" or "Human only." The AI with the HB3 is terrible. For some reason, it hates my red Dodge Charger or any car that isn't black. I will go back to the Wi-Fi connection if it doesn't improve.

A black car just pulled into my driveway and it did not record. Yeah, I'm going back to wifi and sending the HB3 back.

Don't buy Laview cameras then. I have a few, and a rep named one without me telling her I had it. She goes, "And what about Garage 2?" Hmm, that is odd. It is safe to say all these Chinese companies are spying and collecting data.

I had Arlo since it started with netgear .
Switched to eufy a year now .
There lastest gen cameras all suck when it comes to recognition. Doesn't matter how much adjust the sensativity . Camera can sense strong wind better than actual human being
