What's wrong with the 850X, isn't that still their highest model? Hard drive seems fine too.

I know slickdeals hates comments about eBay, but I got a 4TB SN850X for 225 open box unused mint condition, five months back

you can easily do a scan on a drive, and when you're buying through PayPal you're pretty much good for a year in my experience, I've complained way after the deadline and they were quick to refund.

Anyway 280 is way too high

Paypal refunds you if the drive dies? Is that part of buyer protection (meaning the seller gets the money taken back) or does PayPal foot the bill? I'm genuinely curious.

Sure, had a few different situations where I purchased something but then didn't end up using it for six months or so and then found out that it was broken then and they responded perfectly to that, they want you to report it to the seller report it to eBay if you don't get a fulfilling response they take care of you. almost half of the things I've purchased in the past 12 years has been found under- 'EBay lowest price first, buy it now'

but standard you get 180 days, six months and they'll refund you if it breaks

with comment sections like slick deals and YouTube, why don't people put a comment with their thumbs down?( I have to give this a thumbs down 'cause I had this experience etc...)
All the people who thumbs down comments about eBay are buying new things make zero sense. It's like you either live in paranoia or you don't want people to save money... SMH
YOU HAVE 6 MONTHS! There is no risk!
