Great price but holding out for closer to $260 - lowest price I was able to get one a couple years ago during Prime Day

No guarantees it will hit that price again - it hasn't been the last couple of years unfortunately. Fingers crossed!

If you're going to buy a blender, this is the model to get. It's tried, true, and even repairable.
This is a good price, but potentially not a great price. IDK if it's going to go down to what it used to be.

Is the pitcher included with this one sufficient for all wet and dry needs? How's this compare to the Costco one on sale?

I don't have any experience with the 750, but I've tried the smaller containers like the 750 appears to have and they don't work as well as the tall one with the narrow base. The narrow base brings the mixture into the blades better. I've had the 5200 for something like a decade and it has been bulletproof. I overheat it on a regular basis making peanut butter with no added oil (just peanuts). It's a tough ask for a blender and it overheats on the second batch. The first time the thermal protection kicked in it smelled and I thought I had killed it. After cooling down it worked again though and I have been overheating it regularly since.

They sell a separate dry pitcher if you want to process your own grains. I had one, but didn't use it enough to comment on how well it works. I've used different pitchers and like the one on this one better, despite it being too tall to fit under most cabinets. Less of the mixture escapes the blades with a narrow base.

There are some good comparison discussions on reddit. I went with the 750 because it's reportedly quieter and I plan to add a smaller pitcher since the consensus was that overcomes the main drawback for the 750 in making single-serving smoothies.

We have this with the shorter 64 oz container, so it fits under a cabinet over the counter. This container is better for making almost everything- as someone has mentioned, it keeps the ingredients in the blades with less splattering up the walls.

For those on a budget, the Braun TriForce Power Blender is a worthy competitor (not quite as good), currently at $216 on Amazon.
