This is also my guess. Canva said after they bought Serif that they wouldn't move to subscription-only and that lasted 18-months.

Well - this looks like it's absolutely, going to subscription-only going forward. Forum shutdown means paywall support.

Affinity Forums are closing come October 6, 2025, as new posts and replies will not be allowed anymore, while they will remain as a read-only archive (available for search only)

Affinity, a Graphics Editing Software Company, has pulled the ability to purchase it's software temporarily.

I use the affinity photo app daily and now I can try the rest! Thanks

*edit: It looks like they've taken all the products off the store for desktop and made an announcement for the end of the month.... I can smell the subscription service enshittification already -__-

Enshitification means quick cash grab before bailing. Tired of companies coming in and buying apps and adding subscriptions like it's genius. It's ruining apps everywhere, it's like they want everyone using Linux and sailing the high seas. The industry can't remember its mistakes, it's like every 25 years tech companies get dementia and cut off their nose to spite their faces.

Yes, accept the trial and then purchase a license. I believe it is under Settings within each app but I don't know the exact steps because I already own all three apps.
Edit: I've edited my post with more instructions. Buy Now should be in Account on the app's Home screen.

I created an account and started the free trial. I went to account and "Buy Now" for $0, but it keeps giving me an error message: "There's no information available for In-App Purchases. Try again later."
edit: It is working now. I waited a few minutes and tried again. Everything is good to go!

I tried again and got it working. I edited my post to reflect that.

Didn't people have to pay for this upgrade originally?

Yea thats awesome! Definitely in for this! Now if they'd only do it for the Mac and PC versions!

Whoa, whats up with their website? Everything down in preparation for some new product? Probably some new subscription model... 🙄
