The Acrobat Pro license comes with severe restrictions that undermine its usefulness for many. First web-based features such as e-signing and sharing for review are not included in this version of Acrobat. The e-signing in particular was a feature I was looking forward to using. The phrasing is somewhat cryptic "Paid features are not available on web browsers and mobile devices." The Adobe Acrobat Pro 2024 FAQ describes the limitations as follows: Acrobat Pro 2024 doesn't receive feature updates and lacks web-based features like e-signing, sharing for review, and AI capabilities. With Acrobat Pro 2024, paid features are not available on web browsers and mobile devices."
This points out the other major limitation: you cannot use Adobe's AI capabilities with this version of Acrobat.
So with all these restrictions is the program worth about $70 for 3 years? Not for me.

Actually Acrobat is worth even without those extra features if you create enterprise grade pdf forms or prepress design material.
Because there aren't any true alternative out there.

Disagree. As a former tech writer that used Acrobat Pro daily, but who now balks at the ridiculous price for the full version, I've found that FlexiPDF from Softmaker does a pretty good job.

FlexiPDF can't be an alternative.

If you're doing prepress tasks required for commercial printing, I hope you're earning enough to pay for the unrestricted Acrobat Pro software!

Good Catch. I have Microsoft 365 subscription, so not really interested in Office 2019 or 2021. Mainly need the PDF software. I have used FoxitPDF editor for years with a perpetual license, now they no longer support version 12.x have have disabled some of the form tools, thus trying to force an upgrade. I guess perpetual does not mean Lasting forever; never-ending.

So I tried to buy it with the deal. I got logged in OK (existing account), but when I went to check out, StackSocial keeps generating an error. I tried several times on 11-7-2025 and again today on 11/8/2025. Tried from Desktop PC, Laptop, and a Linux virtual machine. The error when trying to place the order is: "Oops! Something went wrong : (Rest assured -- Our Team has been notified, and we'll have this fixed up in no time."
So I created a new account on StackSocial using a different email provider. Got the same message again.
