Going to be lazy and repost my most recent comment on this deal (it comes up often enough this is almost the regular price):
Tldr; good model at good price but note manual defrost

Man, the number of times I get excited by this deal and then see that it's (still) a manual defrost model is insane.

It's a good deal for this size of an upright freezer, and the mechanical clone model with retro styling that I got from Walmart delivered for this price is still working as intended ~4.5 years later. Just after experiencing it as my first upright, while I would still argue very aggressively towards manual defrosts on chest freezers (for LONG term storage measured in years) because of the design of an upright freezer replacing almost all of the cold/dry air with warm moist house air whenever it is opened combined with a manual defrost requires (VERY) regular scraping of the coils or a semi annual full defrost.

Edit: note this is written for people who have multiple freezers and use their small upright as a daily access if you only have upright freezers or only one freezer you do not want auto defrost as it lowers the lifespan of frozen foods. If you want to keep your food for the longest possible time opt for a chest with manual defrost provided you have the floorspace.

Been looking for a freezer for the garage. See this show up every now and then on here. Seems like the main issue is shipping, with the product being damaged at a concerningly high frequency.

Have a manual defrost chest freezer. Organizing it is challenging, and finding something specific when it is full is an exercise in frostration.
Going to try this one... doesn't get opened very frequently, and defrosting it manually annually or twice a year seems reasonable.

Bought it last time on this deal. Good fridge for the price, haven't run into defrost issues yet but the biggest problem is that the weight of the fridge is not enough for it to stand still when I pull open the door, which means I almost need two hands to simply open the door and you can imagine how annoying it is. But again, I'm being cheap and it is being cheap

I ordered this from Walmart a couple years ago. It arrived just fine and its worked great over the last couple years. One of those things where they probably sell thousands of them but when your shipment is messed up you complain.

It doesn't say it's garage ready. Is that important in an attached garage?

For backup freezer I got the 7 cu ft arctic king combo chest freezer, fridge for around $140. For organization and not having to bend over and dig around I'd probably prefer upright instead. But it was good price and having option to switch between modes was nice perk. Maybe spending extra to buy baskets or not completely fill it up with heavier food items
