Would I buy again? Of course, the heat is super annoying though.
If you've been eyeing this monitor, I think this is worth pulling the trigger on at this price point.
Community Reviews
The 57 inch Odyssey Neo G9 stands out as a huge productivity monitor that can replace dual screens, with Picture by Picture and screen splitting making it easy to keep work laptop and personal PC side by side. The extra width and 4K resolution are especially useful for spreadsheets, cross referencing, and daily office work, and gaming performance looks excellent with a strong GPU. The main drawbacks are that the far edges are less comfortable to use, it can run very hot for some setups, and native high refresh needs serious graphics power. It is a strong fit when desk space and GPU headroom are not limiting factors.
Common Questions (5)
It can be denied even with strong credit, and the checkout total must be under the stated threshold for the offer to apply. The offer also has to be activated in PayPal offers before checkout, and business accounts may not qualify.
It offers massive single-screen real estate that works well for office productivity, with enough space for many spreadsheets, chat apps, and cross-references at once. Picture-by-Picture and screen-splitting tools can effectively turn it into two monitors, but the far edges are less convenient than the center for frequently used windows.
The 10% discount comes from signing up for Samsung text promotions on the product page. Refreshing the page or using incognito can help the signup offer appear, and the code is then texted to you.
Yes. At 57 inches and dual-4K resolution, high-refresh gaming at native settings needs a beefy GPU, though it can still look excellent with strong hardware and DLSS-style scaling.
The promo 24-inch S3 can be resold to offset the cost, and one buyer noted it was listed around $107 on Samsung's site, about $95 with 10% off. It cannot be returned from a bundle offer.

I think the best reported fps for the 5090 was in the 190-200 range (before the brick update).

I was also able to use:
- $50 discount by ordering through the app (for the first time)
- 10% discount by signing up for texts (needed to clear cookies to get it to show up, just on the main page)
This brought it down to $1230 after tax, not including $246 from PayPal rewards, making it an effective ~$985 after tax.Sign up for a Slickdeals account to remove this ad.
