Great monitor - worth it. However, it is INSANELY hot and it's parabolic shape radiates you with an uncomfortable level of heat. Turning the brightness down does help, but it does not solve the issue. I've tried a number of things to help, the best I've been able to come up with is a fan blowing across the front of the screen.
Would I buy again? Of course, the heat is super annoying though.

This is probably the greatest productivity monitor on the market at the moment simply due to the amount of real estate you get from a single screen.
If you've been eyeing this monitor, I think this is worth pulling the trigger on at this price point.

finally pulled the trigger. used 10% to get it to 1316.42 after tax. Savor (capital one card) gives 6% for samsung monitors right now so takes a chunk of the tax out just FYI if you have a capital one credit card.

nevermind, it works but it has to be "under $1500" to get the 20% paypal pay in 4 deal, I originally added the 4 year protection plan for another $149 vs the 2 year for $1 ($88 off as part of the promo); also they pulled the free 24" S3 now

Completely different beasts and depends on what you're planning to do with it.

OLED vs MiniLED VA panel
OLED is better for gaming, movies, entertainment. Worse for productivity. Don't have to worry about burn in on the VA panel.

49 (1440p) vs 57 (2160p)
49" is basically two 27" 1440p monitors. 57" is basically two 32" 4k monitors.

I think this 57" is great for productivity, good for gaming. You'll need a beefy gpu if you want to run it at high refresh @ native resolution.

I have a 49" panel and it's alright. I find the 1440p panel too low res for my taste personally for productivity. I find myself wanting more vertical pixels. I also find it too wide for gaming. I prefer the 34" UW instead for gaming. Monitors are really a personal thing and really should be tailored to your use case.

You don't see it in the actual checkout process. You just need to make sure it is saved in your PayPal offers, then checkout with the Pay in 4, and then hope and pray it works, lol. Some time after I checked out (maybe 20-30 minutes), the transaction showed up with ~24,000 points pending.
