"Extreme" is not "Express". "Express" is a new SD standard that delivers 800 MB/s read speeds (and is required for Switch 2).

Have you already filled up the internal storage that comes with the system? Mario kart and donkey Kong hardly take up any space. Planning on installing another 10 or more large games at the same time? Most people won't fill up the internal storage, let alone a 256 expansion. 512 is for the extremely rare group that install 20 or 30 large games at once and refuse to ever uninstall anything.

Amazon also has a 512GB Samsung on sale if you want double the storage.

Lol the Nintendo tax is real. There are dozens of other SD cards available for half the price with the same capacity and performance. What a joke. Who actually buys this?
Your post is a joke, but I dont think you get it yet.

No, for realsies. Just use Google. This is double the price of most other cards.
He is saying that because the Switch 2 only uses "Express" cards which are much more expensive than the regular microSD cards that you see for half price. Even those "extreme" and "super duper powered" labeled cards are not the same as the "Express" which is a new technology that came out a few years ago and only compatible with Switch 2.

I know that being on the bash Nintendo train makes you think you are clever and funny, but how about you google "microSD Express Card [google.com]" look at the prices and get back to us.

best option I've seen on the 1tb Express card is from costco right now, they have the Lexar 1tb express card which also qualifies for the $40 off $250+ purchase promo they have running. You'd need to get to $250 to take advantage, but there are plenty of things one might need that fall into that promo.

That's true for any brand specific item that's available generically

Excellent, thanks OP!
YMMV, but for me this item qualified for 30% off if you use Discover points to pay for any portion of the purchase price. Final price was $27.30 +tax.

.Mario and DK don't...less than 50gb combined. But, WWE takes up 77gb. Madden is 50gb. NBA is 65gb..I think. Final Fantasy will be 95gb.

If you just play Nintendo 1st party games, a 256 will be fine.

This is the absolute cheapest card you can get that's compatible with Switch 2. $50 is the next cheapest (GameStop brand). And $59 (SanDisk).

Express cards are expensive. A 512 one is over $100 when not on sale.
