It is because it's the Irwin and the lever goes up to raise. The Dewalt is more expensive and well worth it not only because they come in handy, you can use it hands free because you push the lever downward. I work alone a lot and I'm not a young guy. I like them so much I have two.

I agree, I'm an older guy too and have two of the Dewalt jacks. Great for installing heavy doors
