Good deal. But they dont last very long though still works but the padding and everything else becomes sticky over time. Cant use mine anymore because of it.

Yep got these when they were $80 a couple years back. Great for gaming and video editing.

Hard to say. They are not a technically better pair of headphones, but they do offer things the HD 650 doesn't. If at times you feel the 650 is boring and closed in then the 599 is a good alternative. It's a little punchier and crisper sounding. As much as I love the 650, I find watching movies or even just YouTube stuff more enjoyable on the 599. Now if you wanted something that contrasts your 650 with music in mind, the Audio Technica R50x might be worth looking into.

Thanks for the opinion. I don't do much gaming, but have the PC38x for when I do. It's not that good on music, so I guess I'll keep 58x for music and don't need 599.
