It's good for music. I just wouldn't say it's better than the 58X. They are very comparable with a slight edge going to the 58X for music. The 58X just seems to scale better with gear.

Headset junkie here. I've seen comments asking about these for gaming. For a dedicated audiophile gaming headset, you're not gonna top the Audeze Maxwell. For single player games, these are more than fine. I use these when watching movies because the open back still allows me to take in noise when needed while still obliterating my ear drums with crystal clear audio .

Some might say open back headphones are better for gaming due to having a better sound stage. You can directionally hear where footsteps are coming from better. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I've had them for years and use them for gaming and music. It's light and can wear for hours without issues.

I have the 598 SE 's and bought them back in 2015 and they still work EXCELLANT ! My 598's are used almost daily for heavy AAA gaming and work wonderful for that job . ***Should note , abit of a break in period is recommend for more (correct) bass and better clarity (25hrs minimal , 50-100hrs if possible) .

Think I'll grab me a set of the 599's at this price . Thx OP ! Repped !!!

Well I ordered a set yesterday 1/2/2026 at Amazon and it was ordered with a delivery date of one day, 1/3/26 . BUT today I checked my order and the delivery date has now changed to another "3 to 4 weeks" from today , WTF !

Anyone else have their order date pushed back , and/or pushed back that far ???

Mad, I just may cancel my order .
