My store had a lot of the 4ah 2pack batteries in the cage. I ended up picking up the 6ah high performance 2pack for 110 which were also marked clearance.

For their HP branded tools with the two rear HP battery pins.
"HP" just means brushless for the tool, so you'll have to look.
Obviously, the brushless drills and saws should utilize the "HP" batteries better. No one knows how, maybe more current draw (= more power).

No. Not for these 4ah ones. This is gonna be as good as you can get brand new. Some refurbished sites sell around this same price too

It's a tool by tool thing. Some tools that require short bursts of large amounts of power will benefit. You might see a 20% more torque on an impact, for example. Or a saw might stall a little bit less when you push it hard. Other tools that just require moderate amounts of constant power basically see no difference.

No. Ryobi batteries are not (easily) adaptable to any other brand because of the vertical stem.

My store has the 6ah. This is very tempting. Wish I needed them. Have way too many batteries already.

The more visible and marked they are in the store, the more likely they'll sell. If they're in top stock, or in a cage, have no clearance markings, etc, that all helps in playing the waiting game. I typically don't expect more than a 50% drop on a red, yellow, or green power tool at my store because people will inevitably clean them out at that price if they know about it. But, if they truly have 18 in stock, you have a good cushion and can watch the inventory count from home too. That's probably what I would do.
