The 10% cash back was the kicker I needed. $522 is a good deal. That puts it lower than the Wen PL1337 which I've been watching as well. I own both Wen and Dewalt products, so I know the Dewalt will be better, even with the straight blades. it's just a in different class of products.

I'm not seeing the prime visa discount. Does it show on the checkout page?

The cash back doesn't usually show during checkout. You have to wait for it to be applied to your account as a credit.

Anyone ever have issues with this tool tripping the circuit breaker on a 15 amp circuit? I know this is a 15 amp tool, but I understand that during startup it draws more amperage than just 15 amps. Very tempted to snag one of these. It's the last big tool currently on my wish list.

For those wondering how this is, I've had it for about 2 years and love it. I wasn't sure about the 2 speed function but i find i use it much more than I imagined. I ordered the Sheelix cutter upgrade and that is also well worth it even though its hard to swallow that initial investment. I ran the factory blades for about a week before installing the Sheelix. They produced a good finish. Sheelix is a noticeable improvement for smoothness and its quieter (its still a planer so its still loud). The Sheelix also stays sharp a lot longer. Dust collection works great with it too. It has really good chip exhaust. Hopefully this helps with some questions out there.

I have been using this model for about 7-8 years, haven't once tripped the 15A wall breaker.

Yes I have. Even on a 20A circuit. But it's easy to mitigate by taking lighter cuts.
