The voice of someone who doesn't own one or never used one.
I bought one of the circ saws six years ago, that is just now on its way out, after years of very heavy use for various projects and some fairly extensive remodeling. Just deciding if I should jump on this or wait for a brushless or large one to pop up.

Moderate diy-er. Don't have a table saw and at this price it's almost worth grabbing the circular to keep attached to a Kreg rip jig which I found surprisingly useful
Do your research. I heard that 5.5 circulars don't work with the Kreg jig cuz of height

It might be the issue of Ryobi blade? I have used Dewalt XR jigsaw with Ryobi blade, and I can not cut a line either due to the twisting of the blade.
Not an issue with the blade, even though the blade is also poor. It has to do with the design.

But hey, I have done my job providing useful feedback. People can decide to waste their money and learn the hard way, its up to them. SD is now full of cheap junk, hard to find real deals now.

I currently have a wired black and decker that has seen a lot of use.Always wanted a wireless and was going to get the dewalt xr for $119. But this is less than half the price.

I own this and the jig saw is junk, Circular saw is OK. But for the price, you might as well get the 6 1/14 circular on sale. The jig saw will not cut along a line, the blade twists and wanders.
I replaced the blade with better ones and be great. Ryobi jigsaw blades are fully crap

Man, they're practically giving these away. Shame, I only need the jigsaw, already have a circular.
I am in the same boat. Need the jigsaw not the circular.

Because they're junk.
I have had my circular for 5 years now and it has been reliable. How long did yours last?

Even with different quality blades? I never use the ones that come with it.

I give away the small circular saw from the bundled kit. it's quite useless. Get the 7-1/4 saw instead and also get better blades.
+1. I've bought a Ryobi 7-1/4" curcular saw a few years ago and use it a lot, it's pretty good. Make sure to pair it with 4A or 6A battery.
P.S. Went to check what's on sale at DTO and noticed they sell factory refurb 7-1/4" for $40: https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com.../zrcsb135l

Thanks for all the posts about these being junk. It saved me the $60 and more importantly a lot of hassle for returning it after messing up my materials!

I owned this Circ Saw. Its internals melted on me when I was away from home, and needed it most.

Don't know, don't care. Got rid of it with the quickness and got a better saw and had better results.

I have a Ryobi and has been working fine for me with other blades. No research needed.
