Always amazes me on every Tracfone deal, posters expect for $40. to get a I-phone like device and unlimited service. Not all of us need a phone to be an umbilical cord. I have an A14 Tracfone now and love it. I can talk and text all I need and check emails with it. Usually around wi-fi plus I have better things to do than watch a movie or play video games on a 6" screen. Blessed that for <$5.00 a month I can function quite well. Of course, I can tell everybody worth telling everything I know worth telling in 5 minutes or less

I put one of these in each of my kids gloveboxes, in case they lose or destroy their regular phones, so they can still get a hold of me in an emergency.

I assume this does not satify 1 year unlock requirement if the 2nd phone is bought from Tracfone with no plan. the purpose is to use the 1 year plan comes with A16 to unlock the 2nd phone

Once activated this phone will be unlocked in a year because the plan is tied to this phone regardless of what phone you use the plan with in the end

Any phone you transfer the plan to will not be unlockable, because the plan was not purchased for that IMEI

What moku160 said. The service and activation, and therefore the unlock, is tied to this phone, not any other.

This Samsung A16 5g is much better than the cheapo moto g phones. This phone has an amoled screen plus that this phone will get 6 years of Android updates, so it is already 2 years in so you will get updates for 4 more years. Also, assuming that you just activate the phone and unlock the phone 1 year later, it will support esim.

I received them last week and they look like in excellent condition but not in the original boxes, but all did come with the 1500 talk/text/data thing in 1 year.

Comparing budget Androids is like rearranging the Titanic's deck chairs based upon how well they reflect moonlight.

From what I've heard, that appears to be Ponzi scheme-esque endeavor. The company sells expensive licenses to their software, and they use that money to pay people who end up running that software. Also, their "litepaper" does not make it clear what the purpose of the software is and how it makes them money. Be careful participating in that or promoting it on SD.
