I have a "Spend $100 or more 3 times and get $30 Target Circles Reward".

Can anyone with a similar bonus confirm if buying the Apple Gift card with Target Red card ($95.5 total charge) still triggers the $100 purchase minimum for the Target Circle deal?

Thanks!

It should.

I got Spend $50 or more and get $15 Target Circle rewards back. I have gotten it triggered.

I had a "spend $70x3 get $25" offer, and it worked a few hours ago.

Yeah that will work because your transaction was over $50.My transaction trigger is $100 for the Target Circle Bonus, and if I use Redcard to buy the Apple gift card the transaction is totalled as $95.5 after Redcard discount.

See my response above. My question was different Smilie. I am not asking if Apple Gift card purchase triggers the bonus, but if paying with Redcard (which makes final transaction as $95.5) triggers the $100 purchase minimum for Target circle bonus

Not great for you then because the bonus gift card cannot be used on gift cards.

I would quickly get familiar with Target's price match capabilities, you're missing out of a few opportunities there.

It probably won't work, not because of the 5% red card but because of the $10 target gift card. I believe they internally treat it as spending $90 for the $100 Apple card and $10 for the $10 Target card, so you would satisfy only $90 of the $100 spend for the circle rewards. So you would likely need an additional $10 to reach the $100 spend. I have not seen the 5% red card discount affect the spend amount.
EDIT: Others are reporting that the current Target accounting is different from the past where they aren't currently adjusting for the promotional gift card. Learn something new everyday. So it probably will work since the 5% red card discount isn't factored into the threshold calculation.

Unless they've changed their policies, I've run into this issue in the past. The FAQ also describes this specific case:
What is a qualifying purchase?
A "qualifying purchase" is a purchase made after you activate the Target Circle Bonus, meets the minimum purchase threshold and excludes all items that do not earn Target Circle Rewards. The minimum purchase threshold is calculated before other discounts (other than automatically applied Target Circle Deals, which may include adjustments for promotional gift cards that are issued, and sale prices) and taxes are applied.

Specifically, the part about "which may include adjustments for promotional gift cards that are issued" is what Target has explained to me in the past about why it counted as $90 rather than $100. This was a few years ago when they changed the policy, but they may have changed the policy again without notice.

Target dropped price matching a year ago.
