I am sipping my coffee. Trying to decide if I am gonna sneak in a nap this morning, or get up and clean. My DD woke up at 6:30, which is very early for her, and she is starting to look like she is gonna be asleep soon! I think a nap will win out over cleaning, even though my house needs some work
Was fairly productive yesterday. Took DD to the park. I walked and she played so we both got some exercise..
Then, went and got myself a haircut, took her to lunch, and hit target. My stores have become close to impossible to find a friendly cashier. I just got my free mac and cheese, free paper towels, and cheap MP juice boxes..
On the way home, I decided to stop at food lion. They are going out of business and I saw the sign that everything was 75% off. I didn't expect there to be much, but boy was I shocked how empty it was.. They had 1/4 of a grocery aisle with a few spices, some organic cereal, and cranberry sauce.. one pallet of pet food in the front, some misc candy bars, and 1/4 row in the frozen foods with ice cream. I think they must have gotten a late shipment or something. Seems kinda weird to be out of everything except ice cream! I ended up with 6 cartons of bryers and edys ice cream for 1.50 each
I finally came home, made a chicken pot pie, and called it a night!
gotta get it in while it's still morning.
supermarket and whole foods today. lotsa ip's to use. not a lot of good sales this wk considering sunday is a party day. surprised prices are so high at shoprite. there are good wks and bad wks but surprised this wk is a bad wk.
the box for the alarm clock didn't look like it had been opened but now i try to test everything and i'm leery of buying target brands or made for target. stuff i bought at target last yr does not have a good track record. i sold a tonka rc racecar to bff last yr from summer toy clearance and it didn't work either. bff agreed that the box hadn't even been opened.
very late last night i read reviews on the embark queen flocked air mattress w/ pump and 3 people gave it one star. and one person had also had the twin and also gave it negative comments. i had picked up 2 twins 70pct off last wk. i then also found a long well-written review online about the twin and it was also pretty negative. so they are going back. i was planning on giving one to my nephew for when he went away to college for friends to sleep over and stash one away until i needed it. but i don't need any bad surprises when we go to use them and they don't work and can't be returned anymore.
I did buy 2 Embark captains chairs when they went 75%. I haven't opened them up yet. I just plan on my 8yr old & 5 yr old using them when we go to parades. so hopefully they will last the summer.
I really hope that the RC car was not the same one that I had bought during summer clearance. I gave it as a Christmas gift. So I don't know if it worked or not.

supposedly they are selling an updated version of the tonka rc car at target and bff *exchanged* it b/c the receipt was expired by only a few days. i was going to return it b/c it did not have the best reviews, but bff said to show her everything b4 i returned to target so she'd been prewarned and she is also very good about owning. she and her family is into cars and rc's so she wanted it cheap even though it only had 3 stars on amazon. i think it was this one but i don't exactly remember-

while it's very cheap to buy stuff during clearance, i'm moving to buying stuff w/in the 1-3 months b4 xmas b/c this yr i got burned too much so it can be returned if there are any problems. also kids interests change very quickly so by the time xmas rolls around they may be totally over it. paying a little more is better than headaches after.
