Thanks!! I appreciate it!! HUGS!!

i'm still thinking too. this is tough. i want it to be nice and pertinent and useful and something my SS recipient can really enjoy! tough.

wait a min, gt, did someone really tell you somethig in deals? i thought you were joking and so i was joking back.
what drama did i miss this time?

sincerely,
your confused, but still friendly, neighborhood booby twatwaffle.
I am hoping my SS buddy will like the gift but it is one of those things that you wanna make sure that they love it b/c it really took some time to find you know... I feel like I miss LOTS of drama but maybe thats not bad lol

Quote from DealHog :
I have seen a few posts here about carpet shampooers (or whatever they're called). Was there a consensus on a favorite? We sure need one. Was going to remove all the carpet & replace w/ tile (or something besides carpet), but that's not in the budget, but I think I can swing a carpet cleaner of some sort.

On a different topic, I have a lot of cat & dog food that I thought I could sell at my yard sale. No luck this time. I had it listed online at $4.50 for boxes of Cesar (I have 30 boxes), individuals are 30 cents, & $5 for boxes of Friskies Selects Indoor (23 boxes), individuals are 35 cents, with price breaks for buying in quantity. Are my prices bad? I have thought of donating. Would I do better to donate & get a tax break, or cut the prices & keep trying to sell?

I need to find someone that'd trade a carpet shampooer for pet food.
I was unable to sell the Cesar dog food until I dropped the prices drastically...like 100 cans for 20 bucks on craigslist... speaking of which need to advertise some more..lol

Where is everyone?

Who has their christmas tree up already?
I am here again...watching Beauty and the Beast with my 4 year old who doesn't wanna sleep..no Christmas tree up here..speaking of which Target has some cute Department 56 ornaments near the greeting cards!!

we are all about the double days (as monkey calls batteries). Between remotes, Geotrax trains (6 -AAA per train/remote set!), we go through a lot of batteries.
OMG I know with toys batteries are like gold... crazy isn't it!?!

Up at 5 am - my back is bad at the moment and I was helping my son out with stuff. He is having some issues as of late.
Sounds like a lovely vacation!!!!!!!! Glad to have you back though!

My youngest kids' dad is an angry driver and yells a lot ... things like "Hey Buddy get out of the way!" or "Hey Buddy where'd you learn how to drive?" etc etc ... several years ago my oldest daughter was in the car and I was driving and someone cut in front of me and I had to slam on the brakes and she said "Oh look - it's Jeff's Buddy!"
!
Awww Dia!! Kids say the darnest things..somedays I tell ya.. my kids say things that make me blush HAHA!! So sorry to hear about your back... I am hoping and praying your back pains lessen drastically cause they are the worst!!
Quote from kallison423 :
Ah, the lottery dreaming. I dream about giving away millions of dollars to struggling charities. Part of me would want to give it all away, but the other selfish part of me would want to splurge on myself

Can someone with kiddos PM for some help on my SS? I'm at a bit of a loss and need some guidance
I agree that I fantasize about winning the lotto, but I think I am very generous with others so I probably would feel bad even spending a couple bucks on myself... even with such money...
Quote from kallison423 :
It was 12:30am, I didn't think there was a manager around. I think she was a shift leader or something? But I have to go back- didn't pay attention to price on the CG makeup I bought and they were $15.79 each Since the woman was such a bitch, I didn't want to piss her off further by having her take those off. But nearly $32 in ECBs is too much to part with with BF right around the corner (as crappy as it is at CVS this year)
OMG I am so sorry you have to deal with such ignorant people...makes me wanna smack them lol

Quote from gatorcater :
So I am here finishing up my Bar application that has to be postmarked by tomorrow and I almost choked on the filing fee I have to pay.... $1000. If it's not postmarked by tomorrow, tack another $325 on. :

I knew this amount a long time ago and it didn't seem as big of a deal then as I now have to write the check. If for some reason I have to take this exam more than once....
Holy moly!! That is maddness!! Sorry the fee is sooooooooo high... wishing you the best of luck on your exam!!

Welcome back!

Have your baby today please. It's a good date! And it's my birthday..woot! Went out shopping this morning at Rite Aid. Last night DH and I planned out the rest of our lives. It was quick and easy..we are going to win the lottery that we never play. We are going to give a few million to our food bank. We are going to travel all over the US, stay at fancy hotels, eat the best food. When we are done, we are going to travel the world. After that we are going to buy an RV and travel the U.S. again.

Meesh...you are loved.
Greenie...woot
M2C...woot to you
Rachael..have the baby today.

And for everyone else that I forgot...hugs!
Hi Birthday girl!! I agree that your plans sound amazing... I would definitely give back and then have some fun.. god only knows fun right now sounds wonderful!! You are loved too!! HUGS!!
Quote from Dec12Girl :

Damn airline broke my double stroller this past trip so I have been a little hampered shopping with the kiddos...maybe I will head out when DH gets home from work tonight..

I like you haven't accumulated as much stock since the JMS fallout. However when I do shop I seem to be buying in a lot larger quantities. Dontknow
That sooooooo sucks about the double stroller.. I am pondering buying a :thud: quad stroller just to make outings easier... what was I thinking lol. I hope you can find an amazing double stroller on sale!! I have wayyyyyyyyy too much stuff to sell but never have enough time to get it all together..lol

Quote from mamaoftwins2 :
guys..Our vacation is ending today and we are headed back home..Cannot wait to go back home and go shopping laugh out loud The kids enjoyed Magic kingdom, we did the mickey xmas party, and they loved the lego store in downtown disney...Cannot belive how much I paid for the legos, stuff that I could have got nearly free at T or K...But it was totally worth it to see the kids filling the tubs with Legos, seeing their faces when they saw tinkerbell flying out of the castle, or when mickey hugged them....

But the highlight of our trip was the kids picking up brochures at the entrance of the hotel, everytime we walked in and out they have been picking up brochures and collecting them..laugh out loud

ETA: And I went to a Victoria secret and NY&Co outlet store...
YAY!! Sounds like an amazing trip... now you have to shop til you drop lol

Quote from rachael_9667 :
So sweet!! I can't wait to take my family to Disney someday. I have no idea how we'd afford it with all these kids LOL but it is one of my dreams!
I saw Target now sells Disney giftcards so maybe w/ some good overage deals Wink Now take care of yourself, relax, take it easy cause your little princess is coming soon...sending lots of hugs!!

Quote from tn_native :
Target's excellent staff that spelled Maalox on the last TQ as Malox, now have a new TQ for the Moutain laugh out loud Dew or Diet Mountain Dew that doesn't expire until 29 Jan 2011.
I swear Target in general have NO brain!!

Quote from ank220 :

:No T today - which is okay because I feel lost with what may or may not be on sale/a good deal lately. I managed a Kroger run and did pretty good. My last discount didn't come off because I was short 1 item, but it still worked out well. I kind of wish I'd gone back because I had picked up a 10lb bag of chicken quarters that was marked down to 2.19 and I didn't realize it - would've been nice to see if they had more. But... I'm happy.

Not much else to report.
YAY!! Nice!! Just wanted to say hi, relax and sending lots of HUGS!!

Quote from setsail :
Laugh for the evening- earlier, 8 yr old ds told dh that he (dh) needs to take hacking lessons so he can get ds' favorite shows (Sonic the hedgehog, for one) back on Netflix for instant viewing.

Now, I told monkey toddler to stop climbing on something. 8 yr old turned to him and said, "Yeah stop doing that. Sometimes you can be such a b*tch"

mlj, the last time I had a professional picture of the kids, other than school pictures and Santa/Easter Bunny, was probably 2005. I take a lot of pictures on a weekly, even daily, basis, but it's a pita to try to do professional picture.
LOL Kids I tell ya... if I said half the things my kids say..lol

Quote from plgffl :
That's what I'm honestly thinking, now to find the best deal on it!

Y'all I gotta tell you meesh rocks! She has made me cry tonight, she is such a generous, loving person, and total deserves many of these
heart you!!
Quote from setsail :
That stinks.

The local weekly paper used to let me have a few inserts, from old papers (like 3 weeks prior) for free but I was chastised like a child recently and told that "someone" was selling inserts that they got from THIS paper. Blah blah contract with company that provides coupons and they could lose their contract if people get the inserts for free.

This paper doesn't have enough of a consistent weekly publication number for anyone to reliably sell coupons on eBay so I think it's a bunch of bull. They want to squeeze every nickel they can (well, quarter). It's not a huge deal to me but at least they could be honest. And, they could make sure every paper has inserts. Makes me mad to buy 30 papers and find that every 4th paper has no coupons.
I hate these newspaper companies.. I am so sorry they gave you a hassle... I also when getting any newspapers like that I would never sell the coupons and I would wanna smack the people who accused you of doing so... errrrrrrrrrrrrrr so sorry!!

Quote from tn_native :
Oh, believe me they questioned why I was there, wanted to know if I sold Qs, etc. I've never sold Qs. Most of my Qs are cut for the SIL and her family. . . unfortunately, they couldn't make ends meet if they didn't coupon right now. I've helped out every way that they will let me. I paid for the 2 years of private high school for one of them (as their grandparents, who promised to pay for their schooling, backed out of paying, because the grandparents decided they had to buy a new Cadillac I bought a used Corolla (I wasn't fixing to let her go 400 miles from home in a 92 Paseo) for the 2nd niece that plays BB in college on the payment plan (them paying me back), but things aways come up (this isn't stuff most of ya'll don't know about... sick kids, washer breaks, leaking plumbing, the list goes on and on). The rest I either use myself, trade on SD, RAOK for others or use them to help others (Christmas Charity donations, Can-A-Thon, Toys for Tots, Adopt a Senior, etc).
.
OMG you are an angel!! I am so honored to know such a wonderful person... heart you!! You are a very kind soul, don't let these idiots let you down!!
Quote from mama2cole :
Did a little over $500 at our GS today and I had very little stock. I haven't been shopping much at all since JMS bit the dust. Of course with the new update that will all change. Evil It was by far the best sale we've had and the first time we've done it this late. Sold every single one of those .97 Colgate toothbrushes for $1 each. I almost felt guilty about it. Almost.
CONGRATS on the awesome sale!! YAY!!
Quote from kopenney :
Yea....My little JCP is closing. I visited last night,,to the new store that is actually closer to me and WOW it is beautiful. Not a huge store but so nice from what I work in now.
The biggest thing is I will go on commission. But if you do not make your numbers 3 months out of 12 you are let go....Scary to add that part in. So yes..I am considering the transfer. Even if I have to work in another department for a few months first. I need an interview with that store manager.

Therefore I cannot deal with stress so I have added some weight back on...last Monday I still have lost 12 pounds. No bad. Will try to get to gym today.

I only had to work Kohler today, a short five hour shift.
I hope everything works out for you and ends up being OK for you...sorry for all your work issues over the last year...sending lots of HUGS!!

Quote from audriannasmama :
So I can't report on the Kohl's return because somebody broke into my car last night and stole the bag...they went through the glove box and center console. Thankfully nothing in those. They did leave my XM satellite radio though.

OMG! I am having such luck lately. My bank would only refund $35 of the overdraft fees. Still waiting on paypal. Now 4 items I have shipped have been delivered and feedback left but they have not released the funds. Paypal is driving me CRAZY!!!!
I am sooooooooo sorry for the chaos that you have been having...sending many hugs and stay on the banks arse or else they won't do anything!!

I love Honeycrisp apples as long as they are fresh & crunchy! I don't like sweet apples or the really soft ones ... I should try making caramel apples with Honeycrisp - in the past I have made the caramel apples out of Granny Smith apples (love the sour kick!) We went apple picking earlier this year - but all of the apples are gone now ... need to get more! Your caramel apple talk has me CRAVING caramel apples now! THANKS! lol

I love the wrapping as well - getting the prezzies all ready for the kiddos who get so surprised and excited!!! Smilie BTW - I will have to figure out a way to accomplish it TCC style or no Keurig here!
LOL - that is the opposite of my parents who drink solid coffee that you can almost CHEW! ewww - lol
YUCK I hate bitter strong coffee..lol I couldn't do it... hmmm carmel apples sound heavenly right now... My mom has the Keurig (last years xmas gift) she loves it but I am thinking a good SD on them should come sooner or later..hopefully Wink

Quote from gt6mk31 :
I haven't bought any of these -- haven't even seen them so I have no idea how they are packed but I know a lot of times the packing takes up far more room than it needs to. I had popcorn shrimp that I could open the box and put 3 of the inside bags into each box. Can you repack two to a box? What about pitching the boxes and putting the ingredient bags into baggies -- will that save space?
My daughter called -- she won't be home after work (she got off at 7 am), at least not for a while. She must have heard that the highway is bad. We have several inches of very wet snow and it's still coming down. We are hovering right at freezing so at least some of it's bound to melt.
OMG No snow please and thank you... sorry about the snow already...sending you lots of hot chocolate wishes!!
Quote from setsail :
Is it just me or is the pick-an-item screen gone? The Reach bogo toothbrush mq was bringing up the INF/ pick-an-item combo but today, prompted for price. I wasn't prepared to have to remember prices! lol
Weird thing happened yesterday... I attempted to use 3 Duracell 10 coupons in a large order... and the first one went right through... and then the second beeped and said enter coupon amount when he hit to accept... hmmm

I am in TX and found the Lego card in the Pharmacy or HBA isle. Really cute. Can send you one if you want.

Correction: I found a blank spot in the Coffee isle. Could not find any in the store now. Sorry.

We will hopefully be getting our Christmas tree from RA this week! It won't be fancy smancy, but it will be ours and I'm excited! Can't wait. I imagine our tree up, fireplace going and my glade candles burning. I am like a kid in a candy store.

IMO, it depends on how bad you want to get rid of it.. I gave some to friends with pets, and then I sold a ton at my yard sales. Took 3 sales to totally get rid of it all. Sold all can food for .25 each.. My DH made deals with several ladies who wanted a large quantity. He sold several boxes of cans for 25.00-30.00 for the entire big box. At the end of the sale, we had a bout half of a rubbermaid tote full of cesar, and he let a lady have all the food left plus the tote itself for 35.00. The bags of food always sold out for me at 3.00-4.00 a bag.

I know right? Time flies! Plus, I didn't talk much about it (after 3 what's the use complaining? LOL) so it probably went faster for you guys than it did me. laugh out loud

Had some spotting scares over the weekend but it has subsided and hopefully gone for good. Why does pregnancy have to be such a rollercoaster? I wish I could skip this part and go straight to the part where my sister has her baby.

Confused

I have always priced my Cesar multipacks at $3/box. Its significantly lower than store price, and I always sell out of what I have. Mind you, I rarely have more than 10 pks/yard sale. But I figure its worth it to me to have a rock bottom price because then it sells. I don't want to keep it around longer than I have to. shake head

Must get my butt in gear today. I have an event tonight that I must get ready for, and then coupons to get in order for shopping the rest of the week. My last big flea market of the year is this Saturday, and my stock is so sadly depleted. Must.Get.Shopping.
