For some reason they think I'm the national bank of tn. My SIL called 2 nights ago and asked if I would buy THE particular breast pump in her DIL's registry and all the pieces that go with it. I don't mind buying it, but I'd rather have bought the baby bed, or the stroller, or a pair of pack 'n plays as with the first child, what happens if she gives up on breast feeding? All that $$ down the drain.

BRUs has a free shipping deal, but I could have gotten that by just dropping by the store 4 miles away.
WOW! I bought both of my expensive breast pumps on Ebay used (they are piston, so no chance of milk being intermingled, etc) when I was working. It killed me to sell them for so cheap (only got $30 at the consignment sale each for them) but now that I'm at home, I never use it. In an emergency I have the hand pump. (Insert perverted JD comment here)

Went to the ob's office today, and after some tests it looks like I have a nasty virus. They were worried about dehydration and the baby, but thankfully no trip to the hospital for an IV. Smilie If I'm not better by Wednesday then I need to come back. Baby is doing great, she got ornery when they listened to her hb and kept kicking the doppler. The dr called her "feisty!"

On another good note, I scored two 20% off codes in the waiting room! bounce

My dad just keeps buying cards too LOL It makes sense though b/c he really does not need to print them so it works out. Cheaper than printing really, when you think about it.

I was joking about the wiki - we are all supposed to be keeping things picked up in there but we like chatting too much apparently. laugh out loud
Unless you can find some of the Shutterfly deals and get them FREE. Smilie
I need to print them for scrapbooking. At least with a card, I can pick and choose.

I knew you were joking. Wink Sometimes chatting is just more important.
I just thought I would post it, because I am sure almost everyone in here already has an account, so wouldn't see the new signup deal. Big Grin

The wiki needs a little work. *cough* *cough*

OY, that sounds exactly like me. Which brings us back to my fears about hoarding (that's the first thing they say....they can't find things...)

hug
I did put a couple of things in the wiki.
And I could find the paper until I cleaned up. I sometimes do better if I can leave things out where I know where they are. laugh out loud

My sister-in-law will not buy a camera, unless is takes film. She always says, "the pictures will never be printed if I have a card". Yep, that's me. I just keep buying new cards to fill up. Three years later, I finally decided I REALLY need to get these pictures printed. lol
AFter I was married a few years I took a bunch of films in that I had hanging around. One of the films had pics of my exhusband!! It had been a LOOOONG time since I had developed films. laugh out loud
Quote from Coach Girl :
They can only talk smack if they are footing the bill. They are there to celebrate a wedding, not for the free meal, right? Heck, I'm all for someone else making me food, no matter what it is! Wink
I don't think they will be there to celebrate but out of "obligation" We did get some things sorted out today though and I feel better about how things will be as far as the reception. Planned some food and table decorations.

I just throw it right in the freezer and then when I have 1-2 days worth of creamer left I pop one in the fridge so it will thaw before I need it. Never had a problem at all.

Thanks.
Why didn't I think of that !!!

Yeah, the shower thing was an akward situation that turned out great! My MIL kept insisting on throwing me one, even though I wasn't sure I wanted one. Then at my SIL shower, she made a big 'to do' about how she was throwing me a shower, so I felt that I had to let her. I thought it was gonna be a damned if you do, damned if you don't kinda situation (my MIL always stresses about these kinda things, so I didn't want to put more stress on her), but it didn't turn out that way at all. She didn't seemed stressed, and I had a great time getting together with some friends and family. heart I got a lot of clothing! laugh out loud And then some of the things off my registry. My step MIL and FIL weren't able to make it, so they came over last night and dropped off their gifts last night. They got us the jumperoo and the temporal thermometer we wanted. heart I am truly feeling blessed lately! I have some pics up on FB from the shower! nod
Ok, will have to head on over to FB & check out those pics! Glad you had a great time - wish I could have been there!

Yeah for bean! wootwoot You just have to take one step at a time- you've seen the hb, which is a huge step, then if you can get through the next few weeks to the second trimester, the risk of mc plummets, then to the next week, and the next. Thinking of you, and we'll be here every step of the way!
I know, I'm trying not to think about it all at once but it seems to creep into my mind....... Thanks for being there!

They called and asked you to buy a particular gift????? In my book that is considered rude! I would never ask anyone to buy a particular gift or any gift for that matter - a gift is just that, something that someone wants to give you, not something you ask someone to buy for you! Sorry, I'll get off my soapbox now..............
Anyway, I'm not aware of any % off codes right now, but I see L143 had a suggestion that sounded good. Good luck finding a deal!

I think it's a little rude, unless someone askes me what I really want I don't mention particulars.......

Although, I will say with my kids birthdays I've been getting kinda specific with close family (my mother, mother in law) 1. because they're practical people who don't want to get the kids junk and 2. because I need another toy around here like I need a hole in the head. I wouldn't ask for a $300 gift but I have been know to ask my mom to give my son money towards his kiddie camp (that he loves) or for a childrens museum membership.
