Anyone have any suggestions for unique Easter basket candy or other treats? As my DS ages, he has outgrown most candy, including most chocolate (Crazy I know). I need some unique ideas. If we were going to WDW before Easter, I would have bought candy from the Epcot Countries, but I don't think we'll get over there this month. He likes to try new things, so candy from other countries would be great. Though, it is just candy, so I don't want to pay a ridiculous amount to get it shipped here. Unfortunately, our area isn't very diverse, so we don't have any ethnic stores in my 5 mile driving radius. Teehee
I don't know if there is a world market near you, but they have awesome unique candies and things ...

hmmm i may have tried it in store when it first came out but i can't remember. i have another twill moto jacket that's not asymmetrical and i got it in size 2, if that helps. i think they rereleased it here [express.com]. iirc they had both of those last year when i got the roll sleeve one and they fit about the same - a little on the shorter side.

my express bill is negative, but that's bc i paid a lot awhile ago bc i was too lazy to go in store to return. i wonder when they're going to send me a check.

you've lost me again - what's the peacoat dress? Scratchhead

confession: i'm always pleased when they re-release something that i bought, bc that means it's still "current trend". laugh out loud i remember buying that moto jacket with a reward.

oh. laugh out loud i did see it and considered getting it for DH! Stick Out Tongue sorry i'm slow today. Smilie

i placed my first order with vs for like 3 weeks! i think i want a lace bandeau (too bad i returned the grey one i had. Doh) to go under those sheer back shirts from express. i didn't realize the 20% off codes work on those also... that's quite a good deal. instead i used the pbos... seems like a waste. oh well! i hope the shipping doesn't get tacked on later...

express card: i wonder when my account will have a long enough "history" for them to actually raise my limit. they should really consider your credit history in general rather than your history with just this 1 card. i mean - c'mon, they also back the vs card and i've had that for like 8 years or so. don't they have access to that info? Stick Out Tongue just annoyed that they wouldn't raise my limit few months ago bc of lack of history. i have good credit that's being harmed by your stupid card! it's really helping me to not have good sales at the moment...

Thanks for the info.

cowlneck dress in floral [express.com] - cuter than i imagined. lining is also printed so it shows through the sheer outer layer. the xs i have right now works, but i'll see if the s is better when my tick tock order comes in.
lace jacquard sweaterdress [express.com] - fits like liggie dress but 3/4 sleeve. the problem is the ruching goes all the way to the bottom, and my skinny legs don't like that. hem flares out at the sides : (
shorts - i like many of the ones i ordered :paperb ag: but they are all maybes for now.
bought this [express.com] in size 2, in dark and in white. fit is good. but the white is see-through.
crochet shorts in 2 - fits. cute. may be too short.
cotton shorts [express.com] - ordered in this print and in ikat. nice, more dressy. good length for the older crowd :l ol:
all these shorts are a bit big on the waist.
Thanks for the reviews. I was planning to order the white shorts. Now I'm not sure I want to. I don't like having to worry about what color panties I'm wearing. I ordered some of the 4 1/2" shorts in solid colors, but I still need to try them on. Hopefully, they'll fit well. It would be nice to have a few pair in the longer length. Are you keeping the crochet shorts? If they're not too short for you, I may be able to wear them too. They're so cute. It's the length that concerns me.

Quote from PordaPoddy :
Early this morning I ordered Lace Hem Hi-Lo in ivory/black [express.com] and metallic lace stripe layering tee [express.com] for about $7.50 each :woo t: (Did not know I hadn't used a $15 off???)
I can now confirm that there is no beneficial overlap in the morning. : (

I was up all night trying to make gluten-free cookies for St. Patty's day. :ya wn: fail fail fail :face palm:They will be covered in frosting so hopefully that will keep them together...sooooo crumbly and frail...ugh.
:n od: To think I used to be too cheap and would talk DH out of the extra days! We've taken a short trip or two with just the parents and it works well for about 2-3 days. They bicker w/ each other a little, but for the most part are kind/generous/accommodating people. I do feel lucky in those rare instances.

About your son's Easter gift, how about Amazon? There are tons of neat Japanese desserts out there and a lot of these [amazon.com] look like what I saw last week when I was buying sesame crabs for my bro's b-day at the Japanese market. "Look boy, I got ya' crabs!" :lm ao: The pastel colors are Spring-ish

Thanks for the reviews. I still have hope the crochet shorts will fit. : )
Great deal on the tops. High Five

Thanks for the candy recommendation. Japanese candies would be great. I'll have to look for crabs. Getting them from mom may embarrass him, but DH & I could get a good laugh out of it. laugh out loud

what do you usually put in your baskets?
mini kites, temporary tattoos, bubbles? maybe some novelty items from urban outfitters? ..not sure how old your DS is now?

how about macarons? or you can always try fun new recipes and bake for him : ) candy molds?
He's 21. He just happens to be a 21 yr. old that still gets visits from Santa, the Easter Bunny, & Cupid. Stick Out Tongue We always fill him & his GF (whomever that is) a basket & buy him a gift for Easter. Mostly, I just like giving gifts & that's a good excuse. Coverlaugh

Quote from ALVSGIRLY :

How can you outgrow Easter candy : P?
Good question. Dontknow I still haven't outgrown Easter Candy. Teehee It's pretty much candy in general that he usually avoids. He likes to eat healthy & he's never been crazy about most candy anyway. He's definitely his father's child not mine. shake head
