IMO a reform like this will only hurts the mid-class hard working people, as always.
why exempt dental? (<-- rhetorical question)
aren't teeth part of my health?
Wish they had this for my cats.
It's coming...
It's gonna be called MichelleCare
Before healthcare benefits, bad/good, were the norm for any job. Now it became a luxury
The odd part is since Obamacare is supposed to encourage employers to drop their coverage, seems odd that the law fines these large employers $2000 per employee if they don't provide it. Previously they could drop their coverage and not pay a fine. That would seem like a new disincentive to dropping coverage, but in this Obama paradox adding a fine for not doing something actually encourages you to do it.
that logic = fail

Don't know why everyone calls it Obamacare, the current legislation is just a shell of what was proposed.
let's just say you wouldn't want to get a heart transplant there. lol
Looks like I'll be saving about $100/mo and getting better benefits!
So you don't like that there's no health bennies? There's the door. There's a hundred people behind you waiting to take your spot who likely won't make a fuss.
Hell. My most recent job I had was working for minimum wage(because admittedly I did fark up as a kid and told off a LOT of bosses and can't get much else
Yet I also went back to school for medical coding, which I had read up on and saw was a decent enough profession to get into. The only thing I missed was that it takes years worth of experience or a certification(neither of which I had after graduating from the one local colleges program for it) in order to get a job in the field.
Employers hiring for this sort of position won't even look twice at you without either or in most cases both. So now I'm stuck in a Catch 22, where I need a job for money and I would really love to use the education I went back for, but I have a certificate that I could just as well use to wipe my ass with at this point since it's useless.
So I take whatever I can get at this point, which isn't much in this area.
And now this bullshit law means I'm going to have to end up broke in order to pay for something I don't need or want at the moment. If I'm sick I wait till the day the local university has their free clinic open and get seen there. I pay small amounts of cash if I need testing that they don't do on site. But those days are over. Now I get to pay likely $200 a month for something I won't use 90% of the time and still have co-pays for that will take even MORE out of my pocket.
Thanks Obama and the douchebags in Congress, you farkin' pricks.

"VERDICT: False. Congress is no more exempt than any other employer who drops coverage and then helps employees purchase insurance on the exchanges."
