Are these laptops upgradeable - If I want to increase RAM or the SSD capacity? Also, I have heard that they run hot after sometime. Does that mean their life expectancy at peak level performance is curtailed?
I have the 2019 model and the battery will give me 6 hours while travelling, does not get hot with office tasks, but gets hot if you stream and run office together I have the 16gb version and this is cheaper than what I paid with all discounts 2 years ago.

For anyone OK with factory refurbished condition and not needing 4k in a 13" laptop, the 1080p version with same processor/RAM/SSD is also available through Dell Outlet for $855[dell.com] after a 12% off coupon good for the 7390's. Silver instead of Rose Gold. Or $1017 for a factory refurb of OP specs.

kind of hard to justify spending $1100 on a laptop with only 512gb capacity. OS and some basic apps will take up half of that.
Windows 10 is 50GB max. No "basic apps" take up 200GB. I have a dual socket Xeon workstation with 40TB in RAID 6 and I am doing just fine after upgrading my laptop from 128GB to 256GB. NVMe storage kills your battery life if you're not using the extra capacity, I actually deliberately chose to go with M.2 SATA to maximize battery life.
Thoughts on this? Was going to buy but now feeling indifferent. What I like is the 2 in 1 folding capability. However I heard there are issues with sound and touch screen.

I bought the 7390 2in1 from dell outlet for 1075 about a week ago. They have a 12% off coupon but the models are limited. Works fine for me but none of these windows touch screens will be like an iPad. Just the nature of windows and not anything with the screen
