If you need a replacement nano sim card, you'll have to obviously acquire the replacement nano sim card. They're $20 from T-Mobile, $3 on eBay, $6 on Amazon, etc. Possibly free if you ask nicely at an Apple Store. You can change the phone line over to the new sim card yourself online at my.t-mobile.com via the "Change SIM" option once you select the line. Or you can call into T-Mobile and they can swap the sim card for you if that's easier.
I purchased a G7+ for my mother around Black Friday for the same price, and she's loved it since then. She doesn't install many apps, and just wanted a responsive phone that would allow her to use the few apps that she does use. The price and features were perfect for her, and likely for others who want to quickly set up and use a somewhat budget phone.
If you're looking for this to be your current phone and you want to use it for two years, this might not be the phone for you. There's definitely a market for a phone of this budget and performance range.
I wouldn't. I did and regret it. Battery life is terrible compared to the Moto G6. WiFi drops all of the time. Other issues as well.
