I have 805 fico and they decline my Application for Venture credit card and wasted 1 credit check. I won't be applying any Capital one credit card anytime soon.
Call the reconsideration line, could be an error on the app or a typo. Happened to me before
Keep in mind that you'll also get a hard pull from all 3 bureaus anytime you apply for a Capital One credit card.

This card has zero foreign transaction fee, extended warranty added and up to 3 price protection claims per year for up to $240 per claim. You can also make an additional $75 for signing up on top of the $200. PM me if you want to know how.
Applied for a card. Opened new account. Spend 1300.00. No bonus $200. Called customer service (JUAN) he said no bonus on your card. SCAM
Capital One has two versions of the card. One is for excellent credit and includes the sign up bonus. The other version is for those with "good" credit and it doesn't have the bonus. If they consider your credit profile doesn't fit with them for the first card, they'll offer you the other version of the card. That's probably what happened in your case.
I hear nothing but bad things about Capital One. Everything from being super stingy with credit limit increases to rejecting people for no apparent reason. It's insane reading people here with 800+ credit scores being rejected.
Why would they approve someone for this that is going to cost THEM money, most likely? Makes sense to me, they want people with a good history of carrying a balance for this offer.

Wouldn't a card company want people with 800+ credit score to have their cards? I'm not talking about people with <600 scores getting rejected, I'm talking about people with excellent credit being rejected by Capital One which is absurd. People with bad credit might not even be able to pay back their balance which means more trouble for a company like Capital One.

I'm just saying that if you have people that'll pay their balance every month, why give them $200 for no reason? It's definitely conspiracy theory, I'm sure the real reason is some other nonsense.
I have the Quicksilver Visa Signature Card. I have had it since around 2017. They have since changed the Quicksilver over to MasterCard from Visa. I read the referral bonus literature from my card. Same $200 bonus as here. But it says if a person doesn't have excellent credit they will consider them for a different Quicksilver Card without the $200 bonus. They say they don't just send you the card without the $200 bonus. They give you the option to be considered for the non bonus Quicksilver Card in the fine print.
That does seem to be a bit sketchy. Something else to consider. If you have had any capital one card in the past. I think this makes a person not eligible for the $200 bonus.
Yeah. Got an invitation to apply for a Quick Silver card with $300 back after $500 spent. Got rejected on 820 FICO, while other companies approved cards with at least 8k -10k limit. Never bank with CO ever again.
Got rejected with 820 FICO here. Got rejected again after reconsideration line. Irony is I have a savings accounts with them and still wont get accepted. Looks like they need some low score bad credit folks who cant afford to pay their bills. Had the exact same $300 offer.
They declined mine because my credit was frozen. Called the reconsideration line after unfreezing the credit, they reprocessed the application and declined again saying "You have a recently declined application at capital one, so we can not approve this one" Dumb! Dumb! Dumb!
