FYI - an omnidirectional mic (360°) has virtually NO noise reduction - it picks up EVERYTHING.

Unless you are using this in a studio, I would not expect decent quality.

This is from a guy who worked sound for years.
I bought this in the last deal and I would say that price reflects its performance. It sounds very canned even though I'm recording in a carpet home. Comparing this to a 20dollar usb mic, the usb mic performs far better
For a guy who worked in sound, it's strange you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Nearly all pro lav mics are omnidirectional: Countryman, Sanken, dpa, etc. That's the whole point of a lav mic: proximity to speaker makes the voice louder than noise, with flexible placement options on the body and sound levels that don't drop when you turn your head. Or are you going to tell all of Broadway, Hollywood, and TV industries they're wrong?

Also, it's cardioid.

SDers, if you want a cheap but decent lav, get a $30 J-mic 044 in the jack of your choice (TRS, TRRS, etc) and skip the bottom-of-the-barrel junk.

Aren't most lapel lavalier mics omnidirectional? Most $100+ professional lav mics I looked at are also omnidirectional.

Most cheaper mics can be omni but you can find "cartioid" lavalier mics too.

An omni mic is good / acceptable for music, chorus even guitar or piano.

For voice, cartioid - heart-shaped - pickup is generally better.

Condenser Recording Mic needs power supply. The IPhone or PC jacket could provide the power?

I could not see a single one-star review on Amazon (23%). Is it me or Amazon has intentionally hidden them.

keep in mind, unless your plugging this into a laptop/phone right in front of you.

this will be too sure for most. it's only 3ft long, otherwise try it out.

Deception says 1.5m length.
That's 4.92ft!

Yes, I spelled cardioid wrong but in the "old days" our main concern for live events was feedback and I only used omnis in certain locations, and usually for instruments. I absolutely avoided omnis for speaking or vocals.

And if you know sound people, everyone has their own opinion about what to use and brands to rely on.

Have you ever heard of an omni with "noise reduction" other than to lower the input pot? Maybe things are different in the digital world and you can tell alexa or Google assistant or jarvis to lower it for you.

Be interesting to hear what people think about this mic.

If this was a route you really wanted to pursue you could probably use a USB DAC, there are some really small ones that's function simply as adapters.

just my.02cents. You get what you pay for. Save your $8 and apply towards something decent like Samson or blue mics. This nickel and dime mics are total garbage. After wasting money on three crappy low end mics, thinking each time THIS will work better than the last was utter foolishness.
