This is an inverter generator so you will be able to power all of your sensitive computer and electronic devices. It can also slow down based on usage so it can run quieter when you are not using a full load. This normally sells for around $900 and is a very solid inverter generator and at 6250 watts, the most you will find in an inverter without spending $2-$3k

I installed a transfer switch to my panel and it powers my entire 1200sq foot house including all lights, gas furnace, fridge, tv's, computers, window AC, etc. The only thing this will struggle with is Central AC.

HIGHLY recommend this inverter generator

Alternatively, you can get the 8750 watt with electric start for $1020, again a great price for inverter technology -
Wish it was dual fuel.

It hits that price pretty frequently. I know it was for about a month or so last time.

the 8750 has a 30amp 220 outlet.. Is that correct? Shouldn't that be 50amp?

I've been watching alerts for generators for a while, looking for something for emergencies. This looks solid, but I'm wondering if the efficiency lost in using an inverter adds significantly to the fuel consumption vs a regular carburetor generator. I'm mostly looking to power air purifiers which are relatively high draw, and my refrigerator if wildfires cause outages.

maybe, after reading other post it looks like that is peak not running.

if peak was over 10 or 11KW then maybe.

btw been looking for 230 volt inverter generators to start making it out.

nice to see them finally.

Are you asking if that's an error or if it should be a 50 rather than a 30?

Generally electrical connectors are chosen such that it's physically impossible to connect a load that will overload the capacity of the circuit. So basically since the generator cannot support ~ 11kw (50A@220V) or even close to it, they will put the next lowest capacity plug on even though it's a big jump (not really a 40A plug at least non-commercially) down to ~ 6.6kW which is well below the peak value of the generator. I had an 5500/8250 peak generator I just sold that only had a 30A twistlock on it. My new 9/11kw has a 50A.

Just like how you could put 20A receptacles anywhere you had a 15A receptacle and circuit, and the breaker would still protect the circuit, but no electrician is going to install a 20A - most people would see the sideways prong, assume the circuit is rated for 20A, plug in and go. Again the breaker will protect the circuit, but it's bad form to do things like that.

I bought this over a year ago for 835.34 from Amazon.

I've used this for a few days straight this year during several power outages.
The power is clean enough for UPS devices to work without any issues.
Used the 220VAC for power my water well without issue. When I used too much power it shut off safely, it doesn't show the power used for each 110VAC leg, just the overall.

As far as being quieter, it is slightly quieter than older models.
