I've been here before. Must be a glitch in the matrix
I love this color
IMO, not quite "a few bucks" seeing as a Bullet Strat (surprisingly very playable in my experience trying at least 20 of them over the past 7 years) goes for about $120 and an Affinity Strat (2x better than the Bullet in build quality and sound, plus they come with a bridge humbucker sometimes) goes for about $220. I know this might trigger the elitists, but a beginner on a budget of about $500 would get the most bang for their buck buying one of those and a decent modeling amp like a Fender Mustang or Boss Katana. For that, you get a huge range of tones to play around with for a reasonable cost. Plus, modeling amps have come a long way in the last decade. Any surplus should go toward picks, a capo, strap, good over-ear or around-ear headphones to plug into the amp for silent practice, perhaps pedals, or lessons. Just my 2 cents as a guitar teacher, for any beginners thinking of buying an electric guitar.
As for this guitar, this is quite a slick deal for anyone in the market for a Fender Strat. Regular price is >$700. Got a "limited edition" shell pink one last year from Musician's Friend for $550 so get 'em while they're hot.

This is a solid deal. Got the strat last time around. Would def recommend for those already shopping for a Strat or Tele. No complaints. Quality materials and quality build. LPB color nicer in person than in pics.
Anyone looking for a beginner guitar should buy this Strat instead. It's a great playing guitar that sounds very nice. Nothing needs to be upgraded here - pickups and hardware are good. This will hold its value too, and it's a real Fender for just a few bucks more than a Squire.

The official Fender Players color similar is called Tidepool and has a drop of green in it.
$749 down to $519 is a great deal.
In 2017 there was a Lake Placid Blue Classic Series 60s strat. Its was $824 brand new in 2017.

.... oh wait, that's Erasure, and they don't use any guitars in that song
