I really want this but I just want Warner Brothers to finally announce the collectors edition already. Between the new features and the price, I just want to see if it's worth it.

More info:
So after seeing your comment, I did a quick google and there is supposed to be an ultimate edition coming out this summer. So thanks for mentioning it. I'm going to wait and you saved me $60 that will go toward that ultimate edition.
Wow, I think this as cheap as it's ever been.

Ah yes, the Return of your Comment from the last deal, and mine. Breaking down things into archaic elements can be funny for comedic purposes, but to put it forth as actual fact outside of Clerks is fallacy and a good way to not enjoy the sweet joys of life, like this series. Star Wars=daddy issues. See? Wink

See, here's the problem now a days...people struggle identifying facts from opinions.... You mentioned the word "fact" in your post referring to my comment however, when you read my comment through the correct lens, you'll now see the difference between fact, opinion, and hopefully this will help you in the future when deciphering what someone says.

You're welcome, have a lovely evening.

Wow this went down in price fast. I bought it for $100 when it came out.

Just to note. I had to return the first set I received from Amazon because it kept freezing at particular scenes (no matter the device I played it in).

This is getting stupid. I've been waiting also but what do we honestly expect? There have already been two waves of making-of content for these movies. Have they saved the really interesting stuff for last?

WB has put out some really overdone collector's sets in the past. My money is on the big set being the discs from both 4K sets, plus one new bonus disc, plus a whole bunch of stuff like a gold ring and leaf pin and a map, for $300+.

In which case I will be kicking myself for not buying this when it was $60.

Wouldn't it come down in price because of the ultra super duper set? Black Friday?

Digital copies mean you "own" it on a service like VUDU, iTunes, etc., and can only watch it by streaming it from that digital store. There is no physical disc.

What does this offer if you already have the extended 4K digital versions?

Besides agreeing that $20 is too much per film which I already own on Bluray, I'll wait for a deal on one of the not-yet-released 4K editions which has more content for a lower price per movie. If that never happens, I've still got my Bluray extended edition trilogies which are not bad... they're just not as good as these 4K editions.

Digital copies are not "owning" but simply a long-term rental/license. There are a some people (like me) who don't like seeing the word "own" used regarding digital streaming because your digital copy COULD legally be taken away at any time for any reason without compensation. Those words are in the fine print of every streaming service if people would read it. Owning is supposed to mean it's yours and cannot be taken away.

It's more accurate to say "Digital copies mean you "have a license to watch it" on a service like..."

Yes, that's why I put "own" in quotes. There are several active lawsuits over digital licensing and the way companies tell you that you "own" a movie on digital. Hopefully, the consumers win for once, but I won't hold my breathe.

Beware... it has ads at the beginning that you can't press the menu button to bypass. You have to skip. Each one every time you start the movie.
