Dang, I still haven't installed my Ring alarm from a post from 2019 Prime Day yet, and I am thinking... "might as well get the gen 2 so if I ever install it I will have the better one :/"

https://slickdeals.net/e/13220824-ring-alarm-enhanced-14-piece-protection-kit-echo-dot-3rd-gen-works-with-alexa-214

Note there are many other options also on deep discount for early prime day. I think the one in this post is the one I would pick, but if you don't need 2 keypads, and have a smaller place, this one saves you $50, and on the same page there are different bundle options with around $100 off (with Ring Cam, with Ring doorbell, etc.):

EDIT: Yep, I ordered this 14 piece kit... "Hi, my name is Mike, and I am a slickdeal-o-holic Frown"

got this 14 piece for $200 about a year ago and happy with it. if you need extra pieces think about buying another 14 piece set.

on ebay: motion $20-25+, contact $14+, repeater $24+, etc.

VERRRRRRRRRRRY IMPORTANT!!!!! Do _NOT_ remove the sim card!!!!!!!! it will ELECTRONICALLY deactivate the hub and you will have to go thru support to get it replaced.

I have a large house and am thinking about getting two of these sets. Will it be an issue linking all 4 keypads or two bases on the same home? I'm assuming linking the sensors won't be an issue.
You can link as many keypads as you want. I believe you can only use one base for monitor, you cant use the second base as a extender. With that said, you can buy an extender for around $20 with the ring security membership discount.

Can you use cell data 24/7 instead of wifi? Or does the main base have an Ethernet port?
Nope. Wi-Fi is default and I don't think you can disable. cellular is only when you lose power. Base station can only last for few hours without power.

Amazon echo can be configured to use for glassbreak sensors .. you dont need a separate sensor

Just opt to return it, once you receive the items you can individually return each sensor and get $20 a piece

Thanks for sharing the deal! Just bought a new house and have a newborn, guess it's time to invest in a home security system.

I have been using Ring 14pcs alarm system for little less than 2 months. The only problem I have with it is that the notifications delay. My cellphone didn't receive the notification until 15min after my door was opened. I tested it out for a few times. The issue has never gone away.

Is this a widespread issue or is this isolated?
