Looking at past deal posts, $88-$99 is considered good for this product. And it's not like we're looking at years past, we're looking at July 25th of this year to find the drive for $90. So this price is nearly 20% more than a few weeks ago.

Also your math is horribly off. 7.76% (price difference $10) nor is 15.52% (price difference $20) "nearly 20%".

For those who don't follow the pricing scheme of these drives at Best Buy, the drive isn't really $72 off. Best Buy RARELY prices the drive at the Best Buy listed "was" price. In this case "Was $179.99". Instead Best Buy is playing sales marketing/pricing spin to convince people they are getting a "deal" when in fact Best Buy's "sale" price is typically the general going price for the drive at Best Buy except when priced lower for a Deal of the Day sale or Black Friday sale.

This is a meh deal in general however due to HDD pricing generally being a few dollars more these days. In the recent past (search slickdeals) this drive was $99.99 or occasionally $89.99. If you want the best per TB deal then look at external desktop USB hard drives in the larger capacities.

Also note this portable WD HDD drive, like most WD portable external hard drives, cannot be shucked since the USB port is integrated into the 2.5 inch hard drive.
