Not a terrible deal although for those who haven't read the fine print, the micro USB and the USB-C ports are for input (recharging the power bank) only which means that the only output is USB A.

The powercore slim series from Anker seems to have very low longevity. I had the same one but with USB-C PD output (Anker has multiple versions of the same product; they just change the ports). It died in a few months. Just wouldn't charge. LEDs wouldn't light up. It was just a dead brick. I contacted Anker and got a replacement. The replacement looked refurbished, but it worked, and I didn't care. In a few months that one died as well. In exactly the same way. This time I didn't bother contacting them. Just threw it out. I saw on Amazon, I was not the only one having such issues. Dozens and dozens of posts with people complaining about bricked chargers. Also, too many people complaining it wasn't actually 10000mAh. I haven't seen reviews of this particular version, but it can't be much different. I usually like Anker products and recommend them. But I would not recommend this particular series.

Wish Ravpower and Aukey were allowed back on Amazon. Yes, they had shitty sale practices. But if they cleaned that up, at least their products were good.

Very good battery bank. Use it on my recent SF and LA trip and it can almost refill my 12 Pro Max nearly twice

Does it output enough to keep it charged while playing, charge it, or slow battery drain enough to prolong play? When I've tried a USB-A output it just slows the drain down only adding an hour or so of play time. I picked up a little Aukey with USB-C out and fast charge this week that should be here any day and I plan to print a bracket to hold it but it can't hurt to have another backup (I have myself and 2 kids that like to play and they will take turns so having very extended battery life is needed)

Are there portable chargers that don't die within <2 years and that are reasonably-priced? I got a cheap no-name one that lasted 2 years (only using it every few months, but keeping it charged), so I figured going with something like Anker would be better, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Great for one Android device. It can't charge device while itself is being charged. It also seems to not be able to charge certain iphones.

According the Amazon page (which looks to be taken directly from Anker), only the USB-C port is input only. It will charge devices via Micro-USB as well as USB A.

Personally, I've had very good luck with RAVPower. But now they are banned from Amazon. Not sure if they sell directly. Ive got two of theirs and they still going strong after years.

I have two Aukey chargers as well. The second one I bought directly from their site after they were banned from Amazon. They seemed to be doing good but then they are relatively new (<1 yr ownership) so can't say how long they'll last.

The only brand I've had problems with is Anker. My first external battery didn't brick but held less than 15 minutes of charge in less than a year of ownership. Anker replaced that. The new one also didn't fare much better and eventually I threw it out. At least they didn't brick the the two slim ones I had from them. I've got to give it to them though. Anker support is really good. But their quality control is bad.
