I learned real quick that Iike a dedicated fingerprint button. With it behind the screen, the screen has to be on for it to work. I like leaving ambient screen, auto brightness and all that stuff off, and if you leave fingerprint enabled, the Pixel doesn't allow you to turn off ambient display. Even with "lift to check" and everything else disabled, the screen still lights up with movement and what not (as of now the only way to keep your ambient screen off is to disable fingerprint). Highly annoying. unlocking my phone is something I do prob 50+ times a day. With a dedicated button on the back and I can easily unlock the phone before I remove it from my pocket.
For you, sure.
For others? $399 is a good deal for quick software updates, good cameras, 5g, water resistance, and other features this phone has.
I think this is the first pixel phone to not have the free Google photo cloud storage. Every pixel after this are in the same boat, including the 6 and 6 pro. That to me was the selling point of pixel. Sure it's not too bad to pay for a plan to get more storage, but that adds up over time, and photos and videos will only get bigger and use more. It's sad that Google decides to discontinue that on the later pixels. I'd rather pay 50 more to have it upload free for life…

I was lucky to score a 4a from a from B&H recently. They had small batch come in. I paid $350 for it. I know the 5a with 5g seems like a better deal, but I want a small and light phone. I also don't want 5g cooking my nuts.
I snagged an open-box "excellent condition" one from Best Buy for $287 last night. They are showing OOS now so hopefully mine actually ships (and it's really like-new). I know I am foregoing 5G, but I really want the small form factor -- it's literally impossible to find now with Android.
Still debating between this and a P6 upgrading from my Essential Ph-1. The AT&T deal seems good but idk if I want to deal with bill credits for 3 years but not sure if the mm-wave is worth it.
Same here. Our 3a XLs are still pretty good and not a lot of incentives for me to upgrade now.
I have a 3a XL but accidentally cracked the screen. It doesn't affect the use but it looks ugly. Now the trading in value for a good screen vs cracked screen 3a XL is $101 vs $88.5. So it is a good deal for me to swap.

Isn't a trade-in value for a phone with cracked screen $0?
same. was supposed to be delivered yesterday. But, stuck at label created
Mine still has no movement. I talked to CS and the guy gave me a follow up email. I got an additional runaround time of 24 to 48 hours. If given the option I'm just gonna cancel at this point.
I am also stuck with shipping label created. No tracking updates from fedex. Not sure who is screwing up here....fedex or google store. I understand thanksgiving sale may have triggered massive shipments, but still no tracking updates is just irritating.
I am trying to get hold of customer support and google chat support is giving me a run around just to get someone to start chatting. One of the richest company in the world with poor customer support. looks pathetic on google.
Just got fedex update that my phone was picked up from google today morning. So basically google shipped my phone the day it was supposed to be delivered. Now i need to wait another 5 days.
Google customer support sucks big time. I asked them about this delay and they said it will be delivered tomorrow when fedex clearly mentions 5 more days for delivery.

FYI, if you have the google one storage subscription, you get 10% store credit you can use after 30 days.
I intend to use it on some cables or accessories depending on price points
