Weary of Chinese brand tvs, you're not really saving money if TV dies after 3-4 years...my Samsung plasma lasted 12 years, power supply board just died, TCL I got from Costco power supply died after 8 months.
LOL, so you got a bad one, it happens. I have 7 TCL tv's in my home. 3 I use for monitors, 1 for an arcade system, one for my main viewing room, and one little 32 that is outdoor year around but well covered. Have yet to have a single issue other than receiving one DOA which was exchanged for a working model.

Oops, failed to mention the one we have over our bar.

And I just purchased this from BB using the capitol one card deal listed here for $200 back after $500. Bringing it to basically $712 delivered with tax.

I congratulate you on your TCL tv collection, I guess you will be replacing all 7 about the same time😂 I got a bunch of different brand tvs and only that one died early✌

To be fair, no tv is going to last like that anymore. I have a couple old plasma sets too and they weigh twice as much and are much better built than the crap today that is designed to break within 5 years.

The oldest is 4 years old now, the newest are 2 50's that I bought less than 4 months ago. Again, yet to have a single problem. You base your opinion on ONE television. Electronics fail. I have friends that will not buy an LG, but this Hisense is replacing an 11 year old LG Plasma that is still running great, just getting moved to a new location in the house. I get we only have our own experiences, but I know plenty of TCL owners that are extremely happy with their purchase years after the fact.

These type of comments are so cringe... where do you think 90% of all TVs are made?

except you are only looking at half the equation.
how much was your plasma? what size? and adjust for inflation? how much was your TCL?

i have 30 inch sony back in 1990 that weight over 200 lbs. adjust for inflation, it cost 8000 dollar today. i am not buying any 30 inch tv today for 8000 dollars.

the market has spoken, and has always been that consumer want good enough product at low enough cost. it has little to do with whether it is made or the brand. you can make excellent product cost astronautical amount of price, regardless of where it is assembled.
if the market demand ultra reliable, ultra high end TVs. companies will make them, except that's not the case.

had ordered on Amazon for $899. Cancelled that and re-ordered at $850. Getting delivered on Saturday. Thanks.

Also this was a 'Frontpage' deal at $1,050 only three months ago :-)

Check its ratings.. i dont watch sports so thats your choice to pay more. Why post that though? we know this tv is 4k @ 60hz as its 2.0 only.
