OLED as a computer monitor will surely get screen burns
Depends on use. OLED panels don't typically make great pc displays due to some of the anti-burn-in features that annoyingly dim the screen every minute or so.
But op was talking about using the large format "monitor" as a TV, presumably as a way to avoid the smart features of modern televisions. If that's their primary use case, they'd be spending twice as much as a traditional tv.
I really need a new laptop for work. Would you all consider this a good deal or should I wait for a better price?
I just ordered it direct from Dell for $279, $20 cheaper and also 12% cash back from Raku10 (you know the site, SD is blocking the URL). It comes out to about $267 after taxes and the cash back.

I would get something like this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tj2ysX then figure out a way to get a graphics card. No reason to buy a last gen build.
All of these i5-i7 10/11th Gen CPUs fair lower than Ryzen 5 5600H. I would go with Walmart Lenovo Legion 5 deal for $699 if still available if GPU requirements are not too high. CPU benchmark allows you to compare upto 5 CPUs. Offcourse, all other things do matter but Walmart legion 5 deal is overall hard to beat IMO.

I'm not sure if you meant this message for me. $279 for a laptop is a mighty good deal. I did get an XPS 15 today on the Dell website as one of their Cyber Monday specials for $1499 with R10 cashback of $225, so ended up $1274, which was a good enough deal for me.

I'm no apple fan, but for video work, you really should look into Mac with their new m8 processor

A lot of people use LG C1's as monitors with no burn in issues.
