I own these (new, in white). It was a splurge when I bought them for $300 -- which was the lowest they had been at the time. These do typically stay around $300+
When I first bought I compared them directly to the Sony XM4s. I greatly preferred the sound of the Bose... in fact, I'd say the sound of the Bose was much better, objectively.
Quick to connect, stays connected many 10s of feet away from the device, feels sleek and premium.
I've also listened to these and a QC one after the other. These are a big more premium feeling, and sound is very similar though may have been a bit better on these.
Noise cancelling is quite good, great on low frequencies and better on mid and high than others.
I'd say these are actually refurbished, not used. It's direct from the manufacturer and they're giving a 2 year warranty, instead of some of the "refurbished" ones that are just third party sellers with 30 day "warranties"
Almost definitely not. Someone else can confirm, but typically it has to be from the official store.

"I'm a musician, and I'd choose the Bose. In terms of sound quality, I liked the Sonys less, and it's actually not even close. My number 1 pick is a clear winner, and it's the Bose."
I'm dipping out of this part of the convo, has taken up too much of my time unfortunately. I have no clue what you are / were driving toward with this conversation thread. I'd consider it unreasonable to take the stance you took, which is that *the internet* unanimously prefers Sony. It's unlikely in any scenario, and demonstrably wrong lol
Happy to continue / answer Qs / give thoughts to anyone else!
Why are you arguing with trolls? Lol. Try not to fall for the bait so easily next time 😂
How does the ANC on these compare to the QCII? I've had the QCII for a couple years and the ANC has never seemed very good and definitely not as good as what I noticed in testing in the store. I think mine were victim, like many, to the software update that made the ANC much worse.
I feel its quite a lot better compared to my QC35s
I use mine for calls when I'm in the house, and it virtually eliminates the kids and family noises. So much so that my OH has to come and tap me on the shoulder to get my attention
I agree, overall there are people that prefer both, but strictly sound quality pretty much every review prefers the XM4, the xm4 are known to be the king of sound
Wrong. Bose wins in the majority of reviews and through my personal experience of doing a side by side test with over 30 family members.
Whatever makes who feel better? This thread ended many messages ago, if not for you continuing it to apparently try to defend your choice and make yourself feel better?
Nobody was making the claim that everyone in the world would prefer the Bose. The idea was they (B 700 v S XM4) are similar, but some, if not many, prefer the Bose. You mocked that idea saying that the internet unanimously prefers the Sonys -- the King of Sound.
This was wrong. I suggest moving on to value-adding evaluations.
Ordered one. Will return the qcii I got from Target. I loved how this headphones felt etc when I tried them at Best Buy, 2 year warranty from Bose is an added benefit

Sound quality was the main thing. Bose sounded better, objectively.

Do these have better value, maybe?
