Ok cheap archive storage. Wouldn't use it for daily.

On my workstation, I have 760P 1TB version, having no issue so far. I though these same drive I can have it for less than $25 now, but it's actually doubled in price, not good.

When it comes to workstation hardware, I do not hunt for cheapest item, but put many hours understanding what's in it to minimize possibility of data corruption and longitivity of part.

I wouldn't touch Samsung garbages, for it smells like horses' dung.

I agree with this for a system boot drive or a game drive. But for an NVME external drive this is fine.

How worse can it be for a game drive? All settings and gamesaves should have been on the cloud anyways. I care more about buying from newegg. Will only pull if other competitors would price match!

to OP - please note that newegg is now an unreliable Chinese brand. You should stay away from them if you have Chinese issue.

These are ignorant fanboi trolls when they don't list any reasons. Do som research yourselves! Intel is one of the most reliable brands in computers and don't make crap products, they just sometimes don't make the fastest. For $83 1TB, this is the fastest NVME + 5 year warranty con cacs! Ever wonder why Samsung has so many "refurbished" SSD's? Fot those who thumbs down, I challenge you to list a better BANG for da BUCK! ╭∩╮ᵔᴥᵔ╭∩╮

Most people who walk into Best Buy are idiots?

The whole QLC longevity thing is overblown compared to the the QC issues cheap SSD brands have. Lifetime is good enough for pretty much any normal consumer workload.

However, Intel did just exit the NV memory business, so you'd be dealing with Hynix now.

I used to say this about TLC drives. Now every high end drive is using TLC. Bottom line is technology moves forward and perhaps eventually QLC NAND will be what TLC NAND is today.

I was going to buy this, but it went to $94.99 this morning. Newegg literally had a countdown clock on the sale that showed two days left when they changed the price. Lol

Because we the sheeple accept what they throw at us.

If consumers don't buy crap they sell (& hold out not buying them long enough) what will they do?

When SMR news broke out Wallyworld got rid of many WD My book drives real cheap.
Not many consumers are buying SMR drives.
