A ground conductor is meant to carry fault current ONLY.
1. No, these are not dimmable. There is a separate model that is dimmable.
2. No, these can't be used as a 3-way. There is a separate model that is for 3-way set ups.
3. These are wifi only devices. Will not work with z-wave or zigbee protocols. Not much of a concern though unless you have a basic wifi setup which is never recommended. Get a dedicated IoT network for things like this to reduce your risks. Granted, hacking is very rare and the Kasa switches are highly susceptible to hacking but anything is possible for someone who is adamant but then again, that goes for anything, not just smart switches.
4. Connection issues are rare too. Any wifi device can/may have connection issues. Nothing inherent is wrong with these switches. They do require a 2.4ghz network and one that doesn't have a wide channel band. Most IoT devices are very simple, no need to prioritize speed here so keep that network setup simple. I have over 20 Kasa devices in my house, never had a connection issue, but a lot of that is a robust network setup vs. a simple Target purchased router.
5. Tapo is not likely to replace Kasa. Kasa is thriving very well in this space and their product line is growing. I don't see them going away any time soon.

Stop getting your information from Reddit and perhaps from the company itself that owns Tapo.
I have one router that has all devices, including phones, tablets, TV, switches, etc connected to it. On the WAN side router is connected to cable modem, on the LAN side it is connected to WAN port of another router that has computers and servers connected to it with different IP network.
I am thinking of making it into three tiers now. Moving phones and tablets to second router, and the domain network to another router.
Your thoughts on it will be greatly appreciated.
