I checked some random zip codes, most stores are $249, a few at $140, the lowest one I saw is $100, but oos. YMMV.

QA Note: Now appears to be OOS for online pickup or shipping, so in store only now.

I've now got 3 of this same model for my home office. excellent for productivity, we don't game or watch movies at all.

34" is the max for flat vs curve IMO

Have 1 of these in a home office setup. It's nice and compares favorably with the same-size LGs I have. VA isn't as bright but is fine for office productivity. Would replace the other LGs if the price in-store is lower.

So for those who are saying "not curved" flat, blah blah, I have two of this specific monitor and also a Curved 34 inch Samsung, I prefer these personally, it feels more direct to your vision, most will argue this, but for me personally, other than losing the amazing speakers in the Curved one, I like this model way better. Having 75hz is whatever, but it's a bonus over 60hz. With that said, there aren't many monitors that will give you 3440x1440 for this price range, you can find some closer to $350ish, so for $250, this monitor is a great deal if you need the screen area and people saying that the viewing angles are bad... have you ever used this monitor? The viewing angles are perfect even with it being a flat panel. I also play tons of games with this display just fine, while 75hz is the limitation, better than 60hz right? Oh wait you're gonna complain about 4ms,.. oh and it being a VA screen, well.. for $250 to have 3440x1440, there are some limitations, so set your expectations based off the specs, most would love to have this monitor.

I don't think it was this exact same one.

So sad that Brickseek lied. Showed 2-3 but nothing at the store. Knew it was a long shot but I got my hopes up. They were listed at $115.

I have a 32" 4k monitor, and running Windows at full resolution the icons and fonts can be a bit on the small side... I think 28" would be too small unless you're part hawk... If you're committed to 28" you may consider a 2560x1440 monitor - that's a good resolution for productivity at that size...
Small? (lol) You have that right! I have the same --- An LG 4K by 32" and scaled up to 150%. This is how I used it for 4 months out of the box.
THOUGH, I recently fell back to operating this in QHD mode at 100% scaling. Meaning no scaling at all. I like the way text looks in QHD much better. Icons too. QHD = QHD is a screen resolution that measures 2560 x 1440.
So my advice is buying a 32" monitor that is only at QHD resolution, might not be such a bad idea. Especially a good IPS deal.
I would buy this one--- https://www.ebay.com/itm/28444999...SwBRVh4CJO

I purchased this several months ago for a similar price for my WFH setup. As someone else said, this isn't great for a main monitor. I use it as a secondary monitor to display spreadsheets or anything else where a wider screen would be helpful. I use a $90 1080p monitor for my main screen because it is much easier to read text on. As another person mentioned, a monitor at this size should be curved to be useful. Still, it works for what I need it for. I still never managed to get the color calibration right. It looks nice for video, but not great for some websites. I have on occasion found myself getting up out of my chair to try to read something at the far end of the screen. I'm using it with my dual arm monitor stand, so I can't comment on the stand.

I was going to get dual 27/28" monitors but this is cheap enough to do that with. Would 2 of these be overkill?

Bought this last fall and ended up returning it. My complaints were: 1. Text was noticeably fuzzy 2. There's an odd horizontal stretching effect to everything . I paid a little more for a same size LG model and did not have either problem. This isn't a terrible choice but I personally wouldn't pay more than $200 for it at most.

Did you have resolution set properly? It sounds like your computer was set to wide screen res instead of ultra wide.
