Probably a bit late with this info, but in case it's still helpful to someone...

I have them setup as access points, as shown in the manual, then wired to my router (which is called back hauling). My router was an older ac1900, turned the access point off (usually just listed as Wireless Settings), jacked the two WAX202's in and instantly upgraded my wireless to Wifi6! Works like a charm.
Thanks for the tip! This is a great idea. I might try it! I'm currently on a wifi5 T-Mobile/ASUS router (I got in 2014!) that probably hasn't been updated in a long time. It belongs to T-Mobile ($100 if I lose it) so I don't want to mess with flashing it.

My Dark Knight started acting up lately so got one to replace it. Good price for my basic needs. I hope it covers my 1000sqft place.

Worth upgrading from AC1750 (TP Link Archer A7)?
Depends. If you have Wifi 6 capable device, then it should benefit from this router also coverage seems to be better in Archer A7 so again it depends on what are you trying to accomplish

TBH bro theyll never ask for it back. Its basically permanent on your account at this point. I still have mine from 2014.
