Thanks for the info. I want to jump on this deal but my Legion y540 (i5 9300H) has been treating me well so far, can't justify getting another laptop. Oh, did I say I already have a work laptop AND another portable laptop just cuz......
I had a custom gaming laptop with rather plasticy keyboard like +10 years ago. I can confirm (at least for me), those shiny spots are due to wear and tear. Someone actually thought I was gross and I never clean my laptop. I had to wipe the kb to prove that those spots are in fact not oil, well maybe some of it maybe, but 90% from using it daily for 2+ yrs.
The wife will always want 2 extra inches
Sad to say but this Surface is not built well at all. Mine has had all kinds of hardware problems over the past few years. Frame bends, lid mechanism is awful, screen flickers and gets a mind if it's own sometimes, etc. I came from a dell xps 13 to this and was sadly let down. Idk if I'll ever buy another surface product after this one tbh.
Oh… I already bought. Someone said this is better than XPS, built quality like a Mac.

xd lol............
Update: I got the Intel version and the HP Thunderbolt docking station is able to charge the laptop, make USB and audio devices work but my two monitors don't receive any signal.

Surfacel laptops don't have thunderbolt ports. It's a regular USB-C. You need to use a Surface Dock through surface connector if you want to use a couple of external monitors
Thanks for the information. This kills the deal for me because my work laptop is HP (can't change this) and I need a laptop that can use the same docking station for obvious reasons. Bummer because I really wanted to try out the Surface.
It looks like there is no way to make the Surface 3 work with the Thunderbolt docking station after doing google for a few minutes.
I assume Citrix would work fine, but would football manager melt this thing? The game is pretty processor intensive.
Currently playing on a decades old laptop that I'm pretty sure is going to spontaneously combust any minute now.

My main concern with this surface is battery life. I had a laptop with Ryzen 3xxx and battery life was bad. Ryzen 4xxx was significantly better.
